I looked at all your pieces, just lovely. I have some amber glasses and picher, they are a set. I don't know how old they are, but they remind me of your items. Carol

Have a collection of my father's who died in 1989 at age 94. We always called this ruby thumbprint-is there a difference? His collection acquired over the years, including one piece I bought for two bucks in Thomaston, Maine, around 1958 or 9. Can you help me figure out what I have? Looks much like your picture, but always thought it was an antique. Also lore was that these pieces were associated with a soap promotion in early century - thanks so much, and by the way I enjoyed your site. Nice job. Jack Hooper

I cannot believe you started this page!!! I started collecting kc exactly the same way...my granny's pieces came to me....and I started collecting about 1990 too. I have a complete set of all stemware, ice teas to juice glasses and totally agree with all your reference book rec's. I am the proud owner of (my great finds!) 2 ashtrays...there are TWO types! 2 candy dishes with lids, a 5 part relish tray, a two tier lazy susan and 4 14" torte plates. I would die to find the cheese plate and bud vases. I travel a lot for work but would love to hear from you!!! Terri Nardi

So glad to finally find a site! In NC, the pattern is variously called King's Crown and ruby or cranberry thumbprint. The other colors you refer to are called amber thumbprint, etc....I would love to have any of the bowls or the pitchers to go with my set. Have about 50 pieces, but am a new collector. Would also love to have the covered candy dish. E-mail me anytime...Thanks so much!!! I've been drooling over the pictures........

We've been clearing out my mother-in-law's appartment and found her "wedding crystal"--it appears to be King's Crown, although I can't tell for sure from your pictures. It has the cranberry "flashing" or stain, and the "thumbprint", it also has a colored band just above the stem. There appear to be three seams. There is a zig-zag pattern above and below the thumbprint and on the base. Could this be King's Crown or is a similar pattern that you recognize the description of? She was married in 1947 and we think she bought it around then. Thanks for any help

My mother collects the Kings Crown ruby flash (I think it the proper terminology???) Anyway, I came across your website and was wondering if you could give me any leads - she is needing 7 of the stemware pieces to complete her set. She's going for a total of 24 to go with her Christmas dishes. It does make for a beautiful table. She has been collecting the Cranberry glass for many years and has a beautiful collection.

My husband & myself have enjoyed your website immensley. We have a few pieces which we think are unusual like the 4 1/2" tall milk pitcher in ruby. We also have a 9" tall bud vase in ruby, a stained blue single candle holer, & a very old clear covered serving dish 4 1/2" tall, 7" OD--not in very good condition (chipped & cracked) but unusual none the less. We also have a selection of water & iced tea glasses in ruby. We have looked for salt & pepper shakers, but to no avail. We hope someday to acquire some of the larger pieces, i.e. cake plates & punch bowl sets etc. Would very much enjoy staying in touch with you or your website. Thank you.

I just started collecting this year. Am having fun but don't have a lot of space. I do have trouble telling the ruby from the cranberry. I think I have a few pieces of each even though I bought as all cranberry. I am in the learning stage.

Yeah, I am not the only crazy out there! I have over 200 pieces and still find myself wishing for more. I do have several of the pieces on your wish list. Imagine that, since some of your pieces on the website are on mine! And no, I'm not interested in selling them either. I do have multiples of some items which I might eventually consider selling or trading. I was informed there were over 51 different items made originally. I haven't ever counted how many I actually have. The best thing about my collection is my three year old granddaughter comes to my house and asks to use the "pretty little" glass! I use my pieces nearly every week, and take extreme care of them. But I get really annoyed with dealers who obviously don't have a clue. Especially, the ones who put their stickers on the colored portion of the glass. I also have a few sawtooth pieces bought just for fun (and cheaply). I also collect cranberry vases and lamp shades for our 1907 house. Great "talking" to you. Hope to hear from you.

Hi! Finally a King's Crown Page. I love the stuff. I have been collecting for 2yrs. Are the pieces you have showcased for sale? I do not have any of the 3 you have shown. I do have a lot though, approximately 165 pieces or so. I also love the Fenton Cranberry Opalescent Hobnail and have gotten some of those. Right now I am looking for a Ruby King's Crown Pitcher. Thanks for sending me your site! Sharon

Hi Lynne, I have been collecting King's Crown for about 2 years now. I found my crimped compote at an antique show while on a first date with my boyfriend of now 8 months!! My mom also collects King's Crown. I have goblets, water glasses, compotes, cups and saucers. Not sure where you are located, but I am in New England. I would love any tips you may have on finding dinner plates. I will keep my eyes out for any new pieces I find. Bye!!!

Just thought I'd see if this works. I like your new addition to the Crown page. As the kids say, its cool. The white and gold plate is just another color. I have a friend who got a cake plate in St.Louis and saw a set of the stuff. He said they were real proud of the stuff. We debated on whether or not the pieces had been painted or produced that way. Whatever the case, I guess since I don't own any that its ugly. I'm really jealous over your punch bowl and the cone bowl. If I find those pieces and a crimped bowl then I'll retire. May not find them but may retire anyway. Bought me a new cabinet today and by the time it arrives I'll have enough to fill it up. Well, I've said enough to try this thing out. Sure would like a good red cone-bowl if you find another. Jess
