Disclaimers: Joss owns them,
not me. I make no claims to the characters.
Comments: BnF group; I won't go back on my promise. Also I
know it's short, but I write them as little scenes, like out of movies.
Once the scene is played out that's the end of the part.

Buffy's POV
Slayers Do Vegas XXXVI- Everytime
I trust you, I lose in the End
She's been sitting on the end of the bed, staring
at nothing for what seems like hours.
Just staring, in silence.
The whole time I can see tears dripping from her eyes.
I want to tell her I'm ok, that she didn't
hurt me, that we can still be alright, everything will be fine.
But I can't.
I can't.
I need a cigarette.
I walk over to her and touch her shoulder,
to ask if she wants one as well.
She flinches and looks up at me, with this lost look in her eyes.
'B...'
It's not a question.
Or a statement.
It's just my name.
'Where are your cigarettes, Faith?'
She blinks; coming back.
She gets up on automatic, and moves over
to her jacket.
She slowly pulls the packet out, she hands
them to me and her eyes catch mine for a split second.
Just a tiny second, but I feel them screaming.
Then she looks away, almost instantly.
Her eyes make there way up a little, but fall down to the floor.
She can't even look at me.
I can see her breath coming in short shallow bursts.
We can be ok, we can... we have to be.
We have to be.
I just want to rip away today and go back to
last night.
Maybe if I hadn't drunk so much or...
Her words come back to me.
'Don't be sorry. Be happy you broke me!'
'Be happy you broke me!'
'Be happy you broke me!'
I broke her?
Her voice shakes me out of my thoughts.
'B... do you... I mean, I ... I should leave,
so you don't have to... I need to leave!'
She moves to her side of the bed.
The bed where we...
She picks her bag up and starts pushing
her things into it.
That was the bed where we, where she...
I broke her?
She's zipping it shut.
That was our bed, where I told her I loved
her.
Do I love her?
Faith?
I love Faith?
But she...?
But she didn't.
She didn't!
She's throwing it over her shoulder
and grabbing her jacket.
She's leaving.
When she leaves the room you're never going to see her again, Buffy.
I'm never going to see Faith again, I just know it.
I'm never going to see Faith again?
But... I want to see Faith again.
She's starting to open the door.
She's leaving.
If you let her go that's it; the end.
She's leaving.
Why is she leaving?
But she didn't... she stopped...
She pushes the door wide open and walks
out.
I watch as she turns round and looks at me.
She's wiping away at the tears that are coming
down her face.
'I'm sorry, Buffy.'
I'm never going to see Faith again.
I just look at her.
The door swings shut slowly until I can't see her anymore.
She's gone.
Faith's gone.
