MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS 1997
With the huge helps from Jon's fans, he was on the stage of this year's MTV Europe Music Awards as one of the MTV winners last night!
This year, this biggest awards ceremony in European music is held in Rotterdam, Holland at Ahoy Stadium on a beautiful night , November 6 th. All Bon Jovi followers from all over the world know what they are waiting for. It's really rock our heartbeats and stop our breaths when the guys from Backstreet Boys says "And the winner is....."
We have been livin' on a prayer so far before that night. The show starts up with this year's Best Live Act , U2. They rock Ahoy! After the first award's gone, and the second performance is given , a woman announces Backstreet Boys as who's presenting Best Male award , our heart is shaking, they come up and sing cappella of "The nominations for Best Male Are....", we keep on praying!!
The huge monitor shows us who are in the same battle as Jon. ....Babyface, Beck, Micharl Jackson, ....Jon Bon Jovi..., and George Michael.
"And the winner is......JON BON JOVI" , I turn screaming at the front of the television! The guys from Backstreet Boys seems very happy with the result, maybe Jon's in some guys' hearts, of course! , what 80's American teenagers never know the greatest Bon Jovi?
The spotlight go around to find where Jon is. He's there!, in very easy custom and non-decorated hair. He's surprised, at first his face turns cute- confusing but changes to a beautiful smile later. He walks to the stage , gives warm-thank smiles to the fans.
When Jon is up there to receive the award, a guy from the boy band who's carrying the award turns to bow to JON before giving him the award. Jon says thanks and shake all boys' hands. He take the award up and says...
"Thank you.....I've never got this award before, for Best Male. This is an one-off for doing the solo record..Because I am a singer in a ROCK band, the guys and I will start the next record next year....but..the reason I accepted this award is because that you guys...the fans... give it to me. ...I thank you ...and..., I will come down to give this award to one of your guys whoever wants it...I wanna come down to give it back to you all... thanks to PolyGram, thanks to.??...Lironi...... everybody on the MTV and we'll see you next year, OK?"
We just reply "OK!!!!", he's really really cute up there!!! It's sad he didn't get 'his' Best Rock award this year, that stupid Oasis gets it. We didn't turn off the TV 'cause another big moment is coming...
The host come up , "9 platinum album records , 75 million records sold worldwide, 5 movies ahead, he's played every stadium in the world, who the hell do you think he is ? ....yeah, ...HE...is...he's here. It's JON BON JOVI! "
Jon does "Janie, Don't Take Your Love To Town", new europe's single. He seems very happy up there. His smile is to-die-for, always to-die-for!! The beautiful song could give you sweetest dream that night. He's GOD!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Jon did gave the award to a man who's not exactly a fan, but he's still a good guy giving it to a BJ fan who's willing to have it.
