Tease, billed as a “naughty musical comedy” tells the story in song and dance of life inside a gentlemen’s club. The action takes place during one night shift, and follows the adventures of the club’s five strippers: Portia, the den mother who “came with the lease”; Sue Ann, the virgin who is stripping for the first time; Angel, who is waiting to meet her white knight; Raven, the sexual predator who hides a secret, and Pandora Dreams, the weekly star feature.

The story is set on the night of a bachelor party in Club Tease, and adding to the cast of characters is Billy Bob, the hapless bachelor, Dicky, the club’s smarmy Deejay, and Vinny, the irreverent busboy, who has a secret of his own.

The ten original songs run the gamut from haunting ballad to outrageous showtunes, and include such show-stoppers as “I prefer girls”, “Saving for a bigger pair”, and the crowd pleaser “My boyfriend”. Also featured are the Tease Dancers, arguably the most beautiful ensemble dancers in Sin City.

Some of the surprises awaiting patrons are interactive segments where the audience gets a peek inside the girls’ dressing rooms, only to discover that individual audience members become the focus of discussion.

Executive Produced by David Tumaroff and Ruth Goldstein, written composed and directed by Gary Ouellet and choreographed by Jaime Gies, Tease is staged in a new showroom on Harmon and the strip, next to the Blue Note, and boasts over 200 moving lights, an interactive video screen system, and a state-of-the-art sound system. The showroom also serves a gourmet dinner, and marks the return of great entertainment in a dinner show setting.

Tease opened to rave reviews, and even E Entertainment network called it “the one show you must see in Vegas!”

(B) The off-Broadway format of this otherwise spotty musical comedy makes it a refreshing addition to the Strip. It's a theatrical musical about a topless club, staged in a nightclub, casting its five female leads as strip-club dancers and giving them songs to explain their characters. The 16 songs, 10 of them original, are more accomplished than the skimpy story, but a strong cast makes the most of it. (1/18/02 M.W.)
