This will serve to introduce me and to furnish you relevant particulars about me. I will also speak to you about the objectives that prompted me to hoist this web-site.

For personal reasons I am not mentioning the name of the Bank at this point. I will however point out that I hold the Institution at the highest esteem


CAREER PARTICULARS

  • Joined MYBANK in clerical cadre in 1957 at Warangal

  • Worked as clerk from 1957 to 1963 at Warangal, Secunderabad and Vizianagaram Brtanches in Andhra Pradesh;

  • Provisionally promoted as Godown Supervisor in Supervisory cadre in 1963 and posted at Rayaghada and continued in the position upto 1966;

  • Due to decision of Supreme Court of India on Bank's promotion policy, I was reverted back as clerk in July 1966 and served the Bank at Tuticorin Branch in Tamil Nadu up to 1968;

  • Promoted in officer cadre as Management Trainee in 1968 and received training at Chennai, Vijayawada, Staff Training College, Delhi and Head Office, Delhi in 1968 and 1969;

  • Posted as Officer in December 1969 at Vizianagaram Branch in Andhra Pradesh and served up to 1971 ;

  • Promoted as Incumbent Incharge in 1972 and posted at Tiruvarur in Tamil Nadu;

  • Promoted as Branch Manager in 1974 and continued at Tiruvarur, when the branch was also upgraded from small office to regular branch;

  • Posted at main Branch at metropolitan center of Bangalore in 1975 and worked up to 1976;

  • Posted as Development Manager in 1976 with headquarters at Bangalore and jurisdiction over all branches of the Bank in Karnataka;

  • Promoted to Senior Manager scale in 1977 and continued as Development Manager up to 1978.

  • The turning Point in my service history in 1977. Please refer to my narrative in MyEncounter for more detailed narrative of subsequent events.

  • By way of brief summary - in 1978 I was posted as senior manager of the metropolitan main branch at Hyderabad and in 1981 as Sr.Manager of the Branch in Ranchi (Bihar). In 1983 I was transferred as Development Manager of Branches in Karnataka & Kerala with headquarters at Trivandrum. In 1987 I was transferred to Ernakulam and designated as Senior Liaison Officer of the Bank. In 1988 I was posted as Sr.Manager of the Branch in Mysore, where I worked up to 1991. I was promoted to Senior management cadre in Scale IV and posted as Chief Inspector with all-India jurisdiction for inspection of VLBs/Regional/Zonal Offices. I took charge of the post in March 1992 and continued upto 1994. In 1994 I was posted as Chief Manager of Branch at Tilak Nagar, New Delhi from where I retired on 30.06.1996.

  • After retirement I remained in New Delhi and pursued computer studies with Aptech Computer Education center at Rajouri Garden.

  • I later took private employment as General Manager of M/s.Premier LPG Ltd, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi and attended to streamlining and documenting of procedure manuals for the company.

  • In March 2000 I suffered a mild brain stroke and was hospitalised for 10 days. I left Delhi on 31.03.2000 and settled permanently in Hyderabad, where I recovered substantially

  • At Hyderabad I pursued further computer education with SSI, Panjagutta and completed the course in Java, Advanced Java, E-Commerce, Visual Basic and SQL-Server.

  • After retirement my innate feelings and spirit of dedicating myself for silent service to the cause of both serving and retired in the banking industry in my own humble way is described in Life After Retirement .

  • I have summarised the gist of my thoughts to my colleague officers. This is spelt out in My Message .

  • I availed the opportunity to develop my web site in this background. It is my desire to keep it growing and useful. My Lead Project on this site is "Integrity in Public Life & Services"

  • Important contents of the web site are literary projects, which are directly relevant to working bank officers. It will include my work " Integrity in Public Life &Service ", comprehensive and objective information on departmental inquires to be useful to officers of all categories, i.e. those who are served charge sheets and seek to defend themselves, as also to those officers given assignment as Disciplinary Authorities, Enquiry Officers, and Presenting officers.   • More emphasis is bestowed in the content-management to meet adequately the resource and skill needs of officers accepting to serve as defence assisting officers. These officers should be able to act as providers of all-round guidance and assistance to other officers in the pre-enquiry and post-enquiry stages, as well as during enquiry. In short they should be well-versed as quasi-lawyers.

  • Knowledge should not only help to protect and preserve the current status of officers, but they must have a career growth. This shifts attention to the concepts of 'continuing education', 'adult-learning' and 'distance education'. This topic will be vividly and adequately dealt with in web pages on 'Learning Circle'.
