This picture was taken in the backyard the day after Akiku came in 1995 and it was when I realized that this cute little thing actually loves to pose for the camera.

Akiku was the first pup of the first litter of an attempted breeder back then in 1995. Unlike my other dogs, he secures his dignified status  in my heart as he didn't  whine or whimper for his parents on that very first night when I took him home.

Naming him is such a pain ...

We found it a trial  to name him for the next few days as being strong-willed as he is, he wouldn't  respond to any of the names. It was until about 4 days later that I learnt that he actually likes the 'noise' kiku as he never fails to respond whenever I croon it as we play 'hide-n-seek'. From then, he is Baby Akiku.

He is often addressed as Ah-bi-la-bu which also stands for ah-bi or ah-bu  unless he is notti. At times when he wanders off to the park or refuses to get off from Isa's car, he will be addressed harshly as AKIKU! I think he kinda knows the difference.
