This portion of The Book Realm is dedicated to all James Patterson fans. If I only influence one person to read one book of his, all this typing will be worth it :-)

Along Came a Spider is the first James Patterson novel I read.
This novel opens with a multiple murder in the projects southeast of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and the kidnapping of two famous children from Georgetown Day School by the school's math and computer teacher.
African-American psychologist Alex Cross, a widowed district police detective with two children and a very wise grandmother, seek the killer in tense collaboration with FBI and Secret Service agents.
This novel is the beginning of an extreme addiction!

Cat&Mouse
Cat&Mouse
Two killers - one operating in America, one in Europe - believe Alex Cross is the only worthy opponent in the deadly game each has planned.
Gary Soneji, the creepy kidnapper and murderer from "Along Came a Spider, has broken out of jail and embarked on a new killing spree, again taunting Cross that he can't stop him.
Even though this novel sparks the return of the madman - Gary Soneji - it still doesn't top the debut.

KissTheGirls
Kiss the Girls
When his niece is abducted, detective Alex Cross is drawn into a web of coast-to-coast terror involving two chillingly clever killers: one who targets Southern college coeds, the other who is terrorizing Los Angeles with a series of unspeakable murders.
Naomi's kidnapping rips Alex Cross away from his kids and his jazz piano and sends him south with several questions burning in his mind. Why did the police wait seventy-two hours before beginning their search? And what is the head of the FBI doing at the scene of a small-town crime?
This book is awesome, and was later made into a motion picture starring Morgan Freeman & Ashley Judd.

RosesAreRed
Roses are Red
The Mastermind orchestrates a series of bank robberies that are notable for their precise demands-and their explosive violence when demands are not met excatly.
Detective Alex Cross takes on the case and recognizes that a particular kind of criminal mind is at work. Cross's investigation gets under the Mastermind's skin, and he makes it his personal goal to take revenge on Cross and his entire team.
More great Alex Cross!

PopGoesTheWeasel
Pop Goes the Weasel
Alex Cross is back, to face his most complex and formidable villain yet, a man known as The Weasel, who threatens to destroy all Alex holds dear.
Cross's pursuit of the killer quickly produces a suspect- a British diplomat named Geoffrey Shaffer. However, proving that Shaffer is the murderer is a difficult challenge. The diplomat engages in a brilliant series of surprising counter moves, in court and out, and Cross and his fiancee become the targets of a deadly cabal of killers masterminded by Shaffer.
This one has non-stop excitement!

Violets Are Blue
Violets are Blue
Two joggers are found dead in Golden Gate Park, killed in a way that suggests vampire attacks. Alex Cross doesn't believe in the supernatural -- but he knows other people do. The San Francisco case reminds Cross of unsolved killings in Washington, D.C., and soon he is on the trail of mysterious killings in eight other cities. The investigation takes him deep inside a menacing world where role-playing veers into deadly action -- and a titillating show masks true evil.
