"I
was born and raised in Tacloban City, Philippines where I received my first piano lessons at the age of 7. This turned out to be the turning point of my career in music.  I still recall the day I first heard a piano playing in my neighbor’s house.   It was the greatest sound I’d ever heard and at that point I knew I wanted to be a pianist."  (more...)

To my friends,

I am grateful to all of you who have helped me realize my dream as an international pianist. I sacrificed a lot including my academic career as a University Instructor because I always believed that piano is my destiny. Even now when I am harboring the fruits of my training, I still want to continue my studies in the classical literature. I take pride in trying to conquer classical music but time has eroded some of my technical abilities.  That is why I auditioned at the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) to study Music with specialization in Piano Performance.  I was lucky to be accepted in the academe with a scholarship. However, because I will be an international student, my tuition fee will be high and it is for this reason that I have produced my first CD entitled "Piano Potpourri". This CD production is currently being edited and mastered in Canada and should be available as soon as it is finished.

I want you to hear my stories, explore my website and perhaps you, too, can share yours. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Leoncio  Olobia
