Here are the known crests of the Trapp families in Germany. Although the source of them is unknown probably they were taken from Rietstapp's Armorial General from the beginning of the century. If you want to see the original text (in french) of each coat of arms you can click on the names below each crest. These scannings were kindly provided by Bert Trap from the Netherlands who's Trapp ancestors came from England in the 17^th century.

To obtain the color of the crest follow this legend:

• Points = Golden
• White= Silver/White
• Horizontal stripes = Blue
• Vertical stripes= Red
• Tranversal stripes from left to right = Green
• Tranversal stripes from right to left = Purple
• Black=Black
