Memories Of a Sister

She was not far away when I was born
She was there to change my dirty diapers
She was there to help feed me to change
My clothes and do her best to help take
Care of me these things I not remember

She was there later in my life again
To hold my hand when I cried as we buried
Our father and again for the same when we
Agreed to let our mother go She was there
While I was hurting and struggling with personal
Issues in my life all these times she would say
Just have faith and trust time will be everything
These things I do remember

She never judged people just loved them
There were times in my life when she was
The only person I had outside my husband
and kids.

She was there every time I needed her
All I would have to do is say I need and she
Was on the next flight to be with me while
I was sick.

She cooked for my husband and kids
She stayed with me when I was in the hospital
Nursed me back to health when I got home
These are things I do remember

There were so many just fun times we had
Laughing, joking, playing around, telling
Silly secrets that only a sister could understand
Playing with hair styles, make up, nails all the
Things that sisters do we shared.
All these things I remember.

Emails,
Chats,
Phone calls,
advice,
Holding hands
Crying together,
Laughing together,
The grandkid Stories
Sharing books
All these things I will never forget.

Barb was a great human being,
It seems that every life she ever touched
Took on a special meaning
Lot of times now I think did she remember all the
Things she said we will have to wait and ask God?
When things could not be explained she would say
Well I will have to add that to my list.
I bet she is still asking questions.

I miss her and I will never forget the good times
We shared but I know she is in a far better place
I smile as I think of the time she told me that she
Would one day have a robe and a crown. I know she has
to look great in it.

She will live in my heart forever
Never to be forgotten.
