FOR POETS AND DREAMERS . . .

            (and others who can fly)

PASSION

When you touch me my skin burns with your warmth
And I know I will feel the flames for days to come
Like your hands never left my body
Leaving my consciousness numb
I long for your touch
It is all I desire
To be warmed by your love
And ignited by your fire
To leave this world
And escape into you
To change in the heat
Like diamonds do

YES

And his heart to her heart
Speaks only of truth
Of ancient love found
In days of youth
Of lovers who've loved
In lives lived before
Of passions that burn
Straight through to the core
Their touches, their kisses
His breath on her breast
All is right in the heavens
For she has said yes

*************************

THIS LOVE

Without regret
I shed my clothes
For I'd shed my skin
I'd bare my soul
I'd open my heart
To let him see
Without this love
There is no me

*************************

BY MY SIDE

Oh the thrill of the chill
The tingle of spine
The taste of a love
Splendor, divine
I call out to you
No post, no phone
It slips past the lips
A sigh, a moan
I ache for you
It's primal, innate
Become one with me
And seal our fate
Grow old with me
And never deny
The warmth of your body
By my side
From first promise
To dying request
By my side
In life and death

*************************

SALVATION

My heart is jumping out of my chest
From sweetness of kisses on my breast
I hold my breath for what happens next
Sin for the not, salvation in yes

*************************

PEARL

Young and in love
They say beware
As if she journeys
To a lion's lair
But like the sand
In an oyster shell
What will be
Only time will tell
Weep not for the loss
Of the innocent girl
Rejoice for the woman
Caressed to a pearl

*************************

DESTINY

Destiny goes by many names
Luck -
Chance -
Fate-

There is no stopping
This magical force
That has woven my life
Through yours

You are my destiny

*************************

THAT WOMAN

That woman
Is a stranger
That woman
In my past
That woman
Who had not yet
Loved you

*************************

AVERY

I hold you to my breast

And gaze upon the reflection

Of the new mother

In dewy newborn

Baby blue eyes
