Jester:

CodeName: Jester
Real Name: Cord D. Lemoyne
Sex: Male
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 220 lbs.
Birth: 11/04/63
Affiliation: WetWorks

Assessed as the textbook troublemaker and underachiever, Jester is better known for his affinity for causing trouble than he is at saving others from it. With a resentment for authority unheard of in the military, Jester is the only SEAL entrant to have an extensive criminal history (which includes justified homicide). It is this lack of discipline that has held him back from reaching his full potential as an officer. However, because he was arrested for infiltrating the Pentagon's National Defense Network by computer, the administration felt it best that his talent be used for their own purposes rather than have him rot in Leavenworth.

It is now known that Jester is a Shape Shifter. It would seem that he died some time ago, and the symbiote replaced his body to keep him alive. He is learning more and more about his new body, and he can now use his symbiote to compliment the other members of the team.
For example, joining with Claymore in their battle with the Keradon (issue 28) to become strong enough to defeat him. Also, Jester was able to join with Dane to change his looks so that Dane could visit his parents who thought that Dane had been dead for 2 years now.

Psyche Profile: - (While still in Team 8)

Jester is your typical joker, sans his call sign, he is a textbook non-achiever and troublemaker. He occasionally shows extraordinary potential as in his higher than average tactical rating (It would have been 6 if he had completed tactical school), yet he always fouls it up with his disregard for authority figures, and his extremely unprofessional attitude, which should I say, verges on a deep insecurity complex.

From a teacher's standpoint, I regularly see glimpses of untapped potential, yet I am frustrated by his self-destructiveness. He seems bent on destroying himself. It seems that any time he starts to show any worthiness, he doubles his efforts to knock himself down, usually in the form of a brawl. He's been the brig more than he's been in combat. If it wasn't for Dane's commitment to Jester, he'd have been drummed out of the service long ago. Prime example of his potential, is Clay's attachment to Jester. Despite all the trouble that Jester has exposed Clay to, he has somehow made sure that he was the only one dropped into the brig. Somewhat of a feat, considering that everywhere Jester goes, Clay is close behind.

His demeanor is that of laziness and combativeness with the other members of the Team. Constantly challenging them physically, especially Grail and Pilgrim. Probably because Grail is a minority, and Pilgrim is a female. Yet he covets and protects Clay. A rebriefing of Clay's psyche reports from boot camp to present show vast improvements in ability and confidence. I have the suspicion that those are attributable to Jester. Another sign of potential in Jester.

Another contradictory mark of his personality, is his loyalty to Dane. About half of those times when he ended up in the brig, it was reported that Jester's behavior had been instigated by derogatory remarks against Dane.

As of yet, have not been able to ascertain why Jester hates himself so much, but we do know that he has shown the lack of desire to commit suicide, and that his attachment to Clay may have been the deciding factor, and may be the key factor to his possible salvation.
