Volcanoes
are
mountains of volcanic ash that build
upwhen
a volcano
eruption occurs.Volcanoes are also full of
a hot liquid called magma. Magma is
formed by the melting of rocks.
When the volcano erupts
and the magma rises
out
of the neck of the volcano it is then called lava. Lava flies out
of the volcano and causes ash to fly out of the volcano. Sometimes
when the lava comes out it can form an ash cloud which is full of lava
ash and could also kill a person if it is inhaled.
A volcano is formed
by the earth's mantle melting, when the mantle melts and is pushed up above
the surface
it creates lava that cools off. The lava of the volcano keeps on
building up and when the volcano erupts lava
flows down the edge of the volcanoes
surface and it dries. Over millions
and millions
of years the volcano
lava
packing up it forms a the volcano and
makes it bigger. Thevolcanic
ash
of the volcano also packs up and helps make
the volcano bigger. The Magma
packs up inside of the
volcanic layers and
then
all at once themagmacomes out and
forms lava and then the volcano erupts.
There are two specific
types of volcanoes. There is surface volcanoes and there is underwater
volcanoes. The difference beetween them is that the underwater volcanoes
grow underwater when the volcano erupts, and the surface volcanoes
grow
above ground when they erupt. Most of the volcano that is above ground
is lava that has dries. The volcanoes in
the bottom of the ocean are big
because once the lava is released it cools
down right on the spot.
