6/05/08 | So, I got a bit more busy that I had planned for, that's what happens when you live the American Dream of slaving away until your enormous debts are paid off. Fucking retarded way of life but everyone's doing it, yay! So my wife and I are homeowners of one very big and very new house. Yeah, we still have to put away some stuff. Sorry I work and have to do errands so I don't have the spare time anymore, not even to play videogames though I don't think anyone believes that. I don't have internet at work becuase of the nature of stuff I work on, so it really limits my connection with the 'world' and what's going on outside. It sucks. What also sucks is on top of that I find myself mowing the lawn, picking out the dinner, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, etc. and can't enjoy my spare time anymore. I seriously don't know how anyone can have kids in this day and age! So I enjoy riding my motorcycle- for the MPG and the MPH and the HOV. Got myself a PS3..mainly for Tekken 5 but it's been relegated to F@H duty because I can't play the damn game. Even now I should be in bed to get my ass up for work tomorrow. I want to retire early. |
3/05/08 | Suddenly got busy right while updating. Will update later. |
2/13/08 | So Marcy and I got a new house. It's much cheaper than the other ones we were considering, so it's quite a steal. We went on a trip to Japan for my friend's wedding. Had a "happy and glorious touring"- quote from crazy old man while we were in Tokyo. Started new work at the beginning of the new year. I'm glad the Giants beat the Patriots to prove that life is never perfect. Been playing much more casual, quick games lately. |
In the year of 2007...
In the year of 2006... In the year of 2005... |
|
2007 |
11/20/07 | I beat Guitar Hero III. I beat Castlevania on the PSP, and then the Symphony of the Night that was included on it. It's cold, makes it hard to ride the motorcycle. Gas prices suck. Thanksgiving is coming. |
10/03/07 | Work = same shit, different day. I did however, get my MCP cert, the first in many I will be getting this year and early next year. I plan on getting the MCSE cert which has a few other certifications underneath it that I get in the process. I've been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 and Bioshock. Still in the process of beating every game I have. |
07/09/07 | I got married! There were no thunderbolts or planets in alignment. Rather we got paperwork signed, put on rings, then played videogames and ate ice cream. I joined this adult gamer league, where you get to play online with a specific older crowd so you don't have to deal with kids screaming on their headsets, etc. Tonight is Forza 2 night and tommorow I'll be playing Gears of War. In other news, the PS3 price drop happened today. |
07/06/07 | Sorry for the hiatus, I've been occupied. Dealing with work, waterproofing the deck, getting marriage papers. Lots of stuff. I've updated the archive section as you can see below. Beat a few games, played some more Lineage. Main character is now 65. Took a long time, right? The 2006 CBR is no more, I sold it for a less carpal tunnel syndrome inducing bike, a 2006 VFR800 ABS. Yes, it has anti-lock brakes. It's a sport/touring hybrid so it's got the performance while retaining a comfortable ride- hence I like it much better than the old bike! It's also white, instead of the retina searing orange. I'll post pics... eventually. I'm getting married tommorow, 7/7/07 so forgive me if I'm preoccupied. Saw the Transformers movie. Optimus Prime dies. And the new Camaro is awesome! One of those statements is a lie. I guess you'll have to see it to know! |
02/13/07 | Yeah, the whole GMU killing my account thing caused quite the hiccup with my site location and linking capabilities. This site is under construction now to get everything working again and updated for the most part. More to come later. |
|
2006 |
10/13/06 | Wow I've been busy. I've gotten a pseudo-promotion meaning I got a lot more responsiblity and work and general bullshit to deal with, and no additional compensation for it. It has not been fun. Anyway, I do have pictures up, they are here. I've gotten some LED's for my motorcycle, so the wheels glow at night, and I put hyper white headlight bulbs in too. I have about 400 miles on it now. Got a few games since last update too. Valkyrie Profile 2 and the new Mario DS game. The Mario game is frustrating at times, but nowhere near as hard or frustrating as the original was. Back to work. |
9/18/06 | I think the first news should be, the fact that Marcy and I are now engaged! Had a big house party, lots of food, drinks and people and we had a damn good time! I'll post pics and stuff later when I'm not at work. |
9/7/06 | So, my birthday is coming up soon, and I'll be soooooooo ... not particularly old. But it's certainly not special anymore. What happens at 26? I already had my car insurance lowered, I don't have much to look forward too except the 'over the hill' thing. I do have a greek mythology party this Friday, and that will be fun, I got some nice stuff to gear up as Kratos, god of strength.... who in the game kills the god of war and becomes the new one. Oh, that was a spoiler, wasn't it? *SPOILER* I'll get pics of that junx, and the house party will be the week after. I'm alllllllmost prepared for that. Have been doing so much painting. Got the deck setup, put together that grill, got lights and tiki torches, making tons of colored Ice shot glasses. Gonna be fucking awesome! |
8/23/06 | Ok- first off I'm tired. Why? Because the motorcycle courses require me to get up at 5am, and they last all day. I've done this shit for 3 days..... and now I have something to show for it. A motorcycle license. I fucking rule. Got the MSF riding skills waiver, waited at the DMV for 3 hours, took the test, passed, waited another half hour, took a picture, waited another 20 minutes, and then I got the license! Stupid DMV. As for bikes, after experiencing the inherent weakness in a 250cc bike, I've looked at 600cc bikes. In particular, one 2006 Honda CBR600RR. The kind of bike that rockets past you, and will spank a Ferrari like a bitch. Not that I'd ride like that to begin with. I want to double check on the ride height, that bike seemed much bigger than other 600cc motorcycles. There won't be any hot Ninja on Ninja action this time. I spent a lot of money on shit for the house. Patio set, furniture, bedroom set, grill, driveway solar lights....So I'm poor once again. Who the hell reads this? Sign my damn guestbook! |
8/2/06 | It's been a while, but I'm justified in that, because of all the shit I've dealt with in the past month or so. There were issues getting parts for my car, so it took a little over 40 days to fix, and the car rental bill was nearly $1500, and Progressive had issues reimbursing me for it. Then they flat out refused my dimished value claim, so I went to a few dealerships and CarMax to prove that my car has indeed suffered dimished value. The dealerships wouldn't buy or trade-in my car because of the frame damage. CarMax offered me $12k for it, only because everything else was perfect and that it had so many aftermarket parts. Too bad Kelly Blue Book is $17k and with my parts on, it's $21k. That's a lot of diminished value. FUCK YOU PROGRESSIVE YOU DUMBSHITS! I have USAA, and they were very easy to work with. I hope you don't get in an accident, and I really hope that the at-fault fuckface who hits you doesn't have Progressive. Let's see, OH, in addition- Mason updated their servers... which means they killed my hidden apache server I had running to steal a port to host my website on. Oh well. I knew it would happen eventually. Lets see, I painted the bathrooms in the house, got a fancy refrigerator, took the 'fixed' car back to the shop twice to get the interior panels that fall off clamped back on...Stuff. Washer and a dryer, signed up for Motorcycle license...got some nice gloves, helmet, jacket for that, getting a Kawasaki Ninja 250cc (small bike) for a few years until I'll feel comfortable with an insanely fast bike. |
6/5/06 | Well, it's been a pretty hectic time, what can I say? I will be a homeowner soon, for a single family home, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 3 level, full deck, house in Centreville. It appraised for $690k, and I got it for $580k. I win. Then, this past Friday, I was rear ended by some kid. My favorite car is now at the body shop. Wasn't my fault, kid has 100% liability, including my piece of shit Dodge Stratus rental car, which I loathe with a passion. I don't know how long it will take to fix. I have pictures, and I'll put them up later. I'm busy! |
5/15/06 | I'm tired, and feel kind of sick today. I've updated some crap, and made an archive section for the site. I'll clean up the interface when I feel like it. Which isn't right now. Had my friend Chris stop by for a bit sometime last week and we had a good time catching up. Too bad it was only for a day. |
5/9/06 | I'm busy. Piss off you goddamn monkeys! Stop touching my balls! |
4/24/06 | I saw Silent Hill this weekend, and all I can say is Wow! It didn't suck! In fact, I think it was quite cool! Good? Maybe, but cool is a better word to describe it. Many critics are like "I didn't understand it." Well, how about PLAYING THE FUCKING GAME? That might fix their intellectual void in their skulls. It needed more pyramid head. I started playing Metroid: Hunters on the DS, and the controls definitely take some getting used to. I found myself doing some stupid shit because the buttons got confusing. I also don't like how it requires touching this or that to switch shit like your gun or visor type. That is just too... difficult when using the buttons to move and look around! I also beat most of DJ Max Portable, an import Bemani game that rocks. Especially because of all the cool shit that comes with it! The calendar is hardbound! Played through most of Beatmania and that game is fucking hard. Got Suikoden V, Grandia III, and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. |
4/17/06 | Had a decent weekend, beat Tomb Raider: Legend and Quake IV, waxed the car, mowed the parents' lawn, and slept in. Got a Xbox 360, though I don't have anything to play on it. Marcy beat her game on it. |
4/13/06 | I think I have some fucking shin splits, where you get this sharp pain down the front of your shins. So running will have to take a break for a while lest I destroy my legs. Speaking of destroying, I totally demolished people in sparring the other day. I should get my refund from the IRS soon, so I can buy lots and lots and lots of video games. Though actually there aren't that many that I even want. There aren't even any real Xbox 360 games that I want to warrant getting the system. Meh. Since stopping Lineage for a time, I've gone through Metroid, Far Cry, partway through Tomb Raider: Legend, and part of Quake 4. Too bad that still doesn't cover 1/4 of the games I still have to beat. I must beat them all! |
4/6/06 |
I beat Guitar Hero. Even the bonus songs. That's because I am the man who
makes the 'Guitar Rapist' band the best! Go Guitar Rapist! Took a quiz, and I agree: |
4/3/06 | I got Kingdom Hearts II, and the limited edition guide with the purple cover. Marcy got the guide with the white cover. Both look awesome. Haven't opened the game. I recently beat FarCry, only by cheating, because that shit is impossible. Mercenaries in full body armor/face shields/shields are very hard to shoot. Got Guitar Hero, instead of BeatMania. It's pretty nifty, unfortunately I don't like many of the songs. In addition, it has gotten to where I just suck too much to progress any further, and I'm only in the 6th level/section I think. I'm not particularly happy about the daylight savings time change. |
3/29/06 | So, Kingdumb Hearts II came out, but I'm currently too poor to get a copy. I will get it eventually. Just like Grandia III, or Suikoden V, or ... a fuckton of other games I will get in due time. I played some Oblivion last night, and while the weather effects are awesome, and the game certainly is much faster, it's basically like Morrowind. The battles still eat balls, too. I also dislike much of the required dialogue. As cool as Patrick Stewart is, there's only so much babble about this or that premonition I can take before I want to stab him....and I did, then his guards killed me, and I had to listen to it again. Fuck! |
3/20/06 | Elder Scrolls should have been released today, I'm looking for that torrent asap. Hit 60 in Lineage II, so close to A grade. On another note: To the fucktard trying leave spam guestbook entires, your stupid ass has been blocked. Get a fucking life- glad you like the site, now eat a dick. |
3/9/06 | Famitsu is on crack. FFXII got a perfect? It's because they like Viera sluts, and Ashe's 'skirt' if you can even call it that, it's a goddamn tube top used as a skirt with her ass cheeks hanging out. The game is all about 'look at me' pretty FMV's and gaylord male leads with a horribly flawed combat mechanic, and even worse aliasing than in FFX. The ants are taking over the screen!!!! Don't trip the jagged edge of that mountain will slice you into pieces!! I toasted both rounds of the demo and was left sorely unimpressed. I think they were too busy jacking off to Advent Children while designing the game. Squeenix needs to stop shipping it's crack to Famitsu, so people get true reviews. |
3/8/06 | Add Mushihimesama and Ibara to the shooter games beaten list. Let's see, overall, the best explosions go to DoDonPachi DaiOuJou and Mushihimesama. Best game is a tie between EspGaluda and Mushihimesama. EspGaluda has awesome music and is very fast paced, and Mushihimesama is basically the same style of bullets but slightly slower paced and cool music to match. Worst is Chaos Field: New Order hands down, with XII Stag close by. Raiden III was pretty ho-hum throughout and mimics the stages from Raiden II. Lame. Played a lot of shooters the past couple of days. |
3/6/06 | Don't ask me how, but I managed to drink a lot of tequila, paint a basement, hit up another party, get up at 7am to open a gym, work, eat sushi, level an alt two levels in Lineage, and beat DoDonPachi: DaiOuJou, XII Stag, and Raiden III at 3am this morning. I played and was not able to beat Chaos Field: New Order, which is a crappy shooter in case you cared. I am crazy. |
3/2/06 | Wow, there is some serious lag at work. Anyway, I can routinely get to level 90 in Lumines now, my high score is just under 300K. Can you believe you have to get 999,999 points to unlock something? Fucking impossible. Same with beating all the CPU opponents, I've managed to get to maybe the 8th one out of sheer luck. Generation of Chaos has come out, but I'm going to wait a little bit before getting that.... and Elder Scrolls IV, and several other games, simply because I would really like to get a townhouse soon. I've been talking to some friends who know realtors and mortgage consultants. The time will come, then I'll have mad parties with bar/pool table/games at the place. I've played a lot of games and have some reviews to put up, but haven't had the time just yet. Lineage II is addicting so shut the fuck up! Oh, and I got Marcy a week of flowers for Valentine's. They were delivered everyday to her work. It was amusing. I have to go now. |
2/13/06 | So I got the PSP megaman game. It's pretty smooth, but has hardcore slowdown in some areas. That's inexcusable in this day and age. The game was fucking hard, but I beat it in 1.5 days of buying the game. I am a megaman fiend. I also got Tales of Legendia, and haven't touched it. I probably won't for a long time, because of Lineage. I don't know whether to praise or damn Nippon Ichi, for coming out with Disgaea 2, Generation of Chaos, and BladeDancer (coincidentally a class type from Lineage II) all this year, requiring me to purchase them all, like some goddamn Pokemon!!! |
2/10/06 | Sometimes, people wonder what I'm doing for Valentine's, because I come up with some crazy shit. This year is no different, but I won't ruin it just yet because I know my woman reads this site. Disgaea 2 is coming, and you can damn well expect I'll be grabbing it the moment it is released. Lineage has Chronicle 4, which I've downloaded, but haven't had the opportunity to play much at all. I haven't gotten around to a lot of things I've been meaning to though. Time. Bleh. |
2/06/06 | Wow, I haven't updated since last year! I don't care though, I've been busy with work and Lineage. That's all there is to life. The Chronicle 4 patch comes out in two days. I've been heading out for sushi each week, because it's the best damn sushi on the planet. The Super Bowl sucked balls and had maybe two funny commercials, and 1 funny banned commercial. It just wasn't an exciting game this year. I played some Mario Kart DS online, and got my ass handed to me by the 'snakers' those who can boost consistently in straightaways by skidding back and forth. I end up hitting the edge of the road and thereby lose any advantage given by the boost. I'm pretty sure my win record is abysmal. Then again, I don't mind. I know I'm decent in just about ANY game genre. Went to the DC Auto show, I'll post pics later, for real! |
|
2005 |
10/18/05 | So, in addition to a PSP, I now have the Nintendo DS. And of course the only reason I got one is for Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. I also recently got Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes. It has LOTS of crazy action on screen at once, really impressive for the Xbox handling that sort of load that would make a PS2 explode and a Gamecube shit crayons. It's a real-time strategy game... highly strategic actually. Thereby making it ungodly hard for anyone with lesser skills, which after the 8th mission is me. Fucking sun gets in archers' eyes so they can't aim, enemy has higher ground, etc. It is hard, yet reminicent of the cool command and conquer games. Frustrating and rewarding at the same time, a difficult feat for any game, so I stand mostly impressed by its depth. I have so many games to beat. Except that Castlevania, which I beat in one day. |
12/30/05 | Lineage II has been sucking up a lot of my evening time after work, but that's not a problem! I got one of my coworkers HOOKED, so it's a grand ol' time levelling his noob self. Picked up Mario Kart DS with the giftcard I got for Christmas, and got myself a radio controlled car, because at the company party, they had that steal your present thing going on, so I had my r/c car stolen! Heading out tonight for an early New Years get together, then I'm not really sure what's going on for the real one. |
12/17/05 | Wow, this is turning into one the most busy weekends I've had in a while. Yesterday, I went out to drinks with friends, and today I went out to lunch and random shopping with friends, this evening I'll be meeting up with my parents for dinner and getting my sister from the airport. Tommorow I'll be having a football get together, with eggnog and vanilla barcardi. God damn, that sounds good! So this is one enjoyable weekend! In addition, I've managed to save up some cash for the house down payment, and get a "paperweight".... actually they are brass knuckles, but they are illegal and sold as "paperweights", HAHAHAHH!! I've also picked up a bunch of import titles I previously had not been able to acquire. These include the super rare shooter games such as Mushihime Sama (Limited edition) and Shikigami no Shiro 2, DoDonPachi DaiOuJou, ChaosField- New Order, and Raiden III. In my sights I also see Ibara, and Homura coming soon! |
11/24/05 | I got a few games...not that anyone should be surprised. New on the list is Dragon Quest 8, FF: Dawn of Souls, Magna Carta, MK: Shaolin Monks, and Genji: Dawn of the Samurai. So, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I'm thankful that I'm not a quadrapalegic, have Down's, gay, addicted to drugs, poor, starving and uneducated. Many take these things for granted, but they are horrible, horrible things. I 'acquired' some games. Like NFS: Most Wanted. A decent racing game, and absolutely hilarious how they portray the drag racing community as a bunch of fake attitude testosterone posers. Holy crap, the amount of tattoos, goatees, and cell phones make me want to gag when plastered onto some stuck up white guy acting like an angry black man demanding to race me. It's funny shit, what can I say? My job is going well, and having finally received my actual paper diploma, it sits magnificently on my desk forever encased in the $10 frame I got from Walmart for it. Considering it's 1:30am, Thanksgiving dinner festivities haven't actually ensued yet, but the plan is for a potluck lunch, then a dinner in MD with some friends. The snow this evening was interesting, considering it was just a week after the 30 degree temperature drop. I desire to play video games! At least I have this long weekend to do so! |
11/12/05 | I was looking at some release dates for games, and Dragon Quest 8 comes out on the 15th. I'll have to grab that for the Final Fantasy XII demo. Too many fucking sequels in case you haven't noticed. So this past Friday I got some shit installed on the car, most notably the TRD exhaust system, which wasn't totally my idea, it was mostly due to the fact that the clutch assembly I had purchased months ago wasn't coming until December at the earliest. So I opted to just get this now, and get that later after I burn out the clutch eventually. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't some lame ass riceboy sound that I was half expecting, and not a ridiculous drone like my IROC-Z Camaro Borla exhaust put out. Actually if anything, it's a nice rumble at idle resembling a V8, and some extra noise at acceleration and full throttle. While coasting and at highway speeds it's silent, so that was cool. I suppose the downside is that everyone thinks I'm drag racing them. Not until the supercharger is put in, but I could assrape most 4 cyl's and a few V6's no problem as is. |
11/07/05 | I've been doing some random stuff at work. I mean, really I've probably done maybe 20 different job descriptions than that one I was hired for. This is because everything's getting setup and I'm basically helping run the show for now. Thus, I've been kinda busy, but not busy enough to find the glory that is Dr. McNinja! It's fucking awesome, so I recommend you check it out now. The office in Tysons is getting all sorts of uber-fied so it won't be ready until next week when it gets fancy furniture and desks. The computers are there already. Friday is a federal holiday, so while I have the day off, I will be getting parts installed on the Scion. |
11/03/05 | So, it's interesting walking around like Agent Smith doing stuff, driving my fancy car, working in Tysons. I realize I'm still down to earth and Northern Virginia people let shit like that get to their heads. I think it'd be great if their nose was so high in the air, I could have them fall into a sewer because the manhole cover was removed. Hm.... games. Plenty that I want (Shadow of Colossus), plenty coming out that I want (next gen stuff). And plenty that I own that I haven't opened (view games list). The Xbox Castlevania is on it's way, and the Magna Carta is coming soon (image on background is from it, though I had it up years ago, from the Japanese version) I'll get around to it eventually. In other news, I'm extremely sore. I hit the almighty 205 lbs. light so it's time to work out every day to meet the 190 lbs. pure musclearchetype. The pain will last for another week probably. Then I suppose people will understand why you put on weight, then work hard to gain muscle poundage. |
10/28/05 | Guess what? I got a job!!! It pays $30k and I shovel shit. Ok I'm kidding. It's government contract work. And that's all you get to hear unless you would like me to kill you. I get super mega top secret security clearances. I get full benefits. and..... and......Anddddddd...... It pays OVER $60k. Yeah, over $60k, that's not a typo. Yay for me! It's not like it was easy. I worked full time all throughout college, which equals 5 years of hands on computing experience, then finally graduated with a degree, then applied to over 200 companies with monster.com, yahoojobs, etc. etc. and had several interviews and phone calls. Then I got into certifications to prove my insane computer expertise. Then I strike gold. So it's nice to have a salary that's more than twice my age X 1000, but it's not easy and you have to know your shit. For example if you were able to take over ports on Mason's server to match your birth year (hint hint). Granted I'll be getting a new house to match my new car. Then I will take over the world and feed off of.... food or something. |
