In the name of God, Amen,
I,
JESSE KEARBY,
of the
State of North Carolina and County of Johnston County,
do on the
Eleventh Day of October, 1801,
being of sound and perfect mind and memory,
thanks to Almighty God for the same,
calling to mind and mortality of body and the uncertainty of this life,
do make and order this my
LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
in manor and form as followeth.

Item:
I lend unto my beloved son,
THOMAS KEARBY,
Two Hundred and Twenty Acres of land,
including the houses and plantations whereon I do now live
during his natural life, and after his decease,
I desire that my will is that it should become
the full and sole right of my grandson,
CHARLES KIRBY.

Item:
I give unto my beloved grandson,
HENRY KERBY,
Two Hundred Acres of land
joining on both side of Buffelow Swamp.

Item:
I give and bequeath unto my beloved grandson,
THOMAS KERBY,
Two Hundred Acres of land
joining the water hole percoson
and James Kearby's land whereon he lives.

Item:
I give to my beloved grandson,
JESSE KEARBY,
Three Hundred Acres of land
adjoining unto Caleb Horne's and Tomas Atkinson's land
lying on both sides of the straight up branch.

Item:
I give unto my beloved son,
JAMES KEARBY,
one feather bed and furniture.
My will is that he have choice of my three beds.

Item:
I give unto my son,
THOMAS KEARBY,
one feather bed and furniture,
his choice of the other two.

Item:
I give unto my daughter,
JUDITH KEARBY,
my other feather bed and furniture.

Item:
I give unto my beloved son,
JAMES KEARBY,
my bif chest.

Item:
I give unto my beloved sons,
JAMES KEARBY and THOMAS KEARBY,
the whole of my working tools of every kind
to be equally divided among betwist them
at the disgression of my Executors.

Item:
I give unto my beloved grandson,
JESSE KEARBY,
my shot gun.

As to the remainder of my estate
where with shall please God to bless me with,
my wilit that it should be equally divided between
my three children, viz
JAMES KEARBY, THOMAS KEARBY, and JUDAH KEARBY,
and I do disannul revoke and make void all other wills by me made,
acknowledging this and only this to be my Last Will and Testament
and I do appoint my two sons,
James Kearby and Thomas Kearby,
to be my whole and sole Executors unto this my Last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have here onto set my hand and affix my seal
this day and year before mentioned.
