The News-Democrat Carroll County, Kentucky 03 April 1969 MRS. CARRIE COBB Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Cobb, 74, of Sanders, were conducted March 22 at the Graham Funeral Home by Rev. J.H. Douthett. She died March 19 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. Mrs. Cobb was born June 24, 1894 at Patriot, Ind., the daughter of John and Melvina Pierce. She was a member of the Jordon Baptist Church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Whitledge, Mrs. Jean McCormick, and Mrs. Peggy McCormick; three sons, James, John and Thomas Jr. Mr. Cobb preceded her in death in 1964. Other survivors are 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Carrollton. Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Cobb, James Lee Cobb, Frank Stephanus Jr., John Dolby, Marvin Crawford and Bud Stone. |

The News-Democrat Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky May 1993 THOMAS COBB, JR., 61, Route 1, Sanders, died suddenly on Friday, May 7, 1993, at his residence. He was born on May 10, 1932, in Carroll County, and was the son of Thomas B. and Carrie Pierce Cobb. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force. He was a retired bus driver for the Carroll County Board Of Education. Survivors include; two daughters, Tina Owen, Ghent, and Samantha Miller, Sanders; two sisters, Jean McCormick, Aurora, IN, and Beulah McCormick, Carrollton; one brother, John Cobb, Indianapolis, IN.; and a granddaughter, Tabitha Owen, Ghent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Mae Cobb, in December 1980; a sister, Ollie Whitledge; a brother, James Cobb; and his parents. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 1993, at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial at the Warsaw Cemetery. The Funeral was officiated by the Rev. Bob Wade. Pallbearers include: Gil Curlin, Eugene Curlin, Thomas J. McCormick, John W. McCormick, Ernest McCormick, Johnny V. Cobb, and James R. Cobb. |
SAMANTHA L. MILLER Samantha Louise (Cobb) Miller, 37, of Sanders, died Friday, October 4, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. She was born in Lexington, Ky., on May 3, 1965, the daughter of Thomas & Beulah May (Smith) Cobb. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Carl Miller, and a sister, Tina Owens of Ghent. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, Carrollton. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in the Warsaw Cemetery. |
The News-Democrat Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky Feb. 1996 BEULAH MAE McCORMICK, 61, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, February 21, 1996 at Tri-County Hospital in LaGrange, Ky. The daughter of Thomas and Carrie Pierce Cobb, she was born Aug. 27, 1934 in Carroll County. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Kentuckiana Restaurant. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Terri Diana Oak, of Ghent; four sons, John McCormick of Carrollton, Thomas McCormick and David McCormick, both of Sanders, Ky., and Ernest McCormick, of Aurora, IN.; a brother, John Gilbert Cobb, of Indianapolis, IN.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton. Burial was in the Carrollton I.O.O.F. Cemetery (section K.K., Lot 46, Grave 2). |
