I was very happy when I received the Flash Flood for my birthday, after hearing so many good things about it form multiple web sites, and it works great. It is based on the CPS system, and is the most powerful stock soaker I have. The main stream is ok, but the highlight of the soaker is obviously the Flash Flood riot blast. I must admit I was slightly disappointed, despite its large output, because the range is very short and it's extremely risky to get within range (about 10 feet) of your target, not to mention once you do use it, unless your marginally faster than the person you just dumped it on, you will most likely be chased and as soaked as the person you hit (assuming you hit them) before you manage to pump up enough to defend yourself. Also, if you have read as many reviews as i have, you will be slighty disappointed due to the false descriptions of, "HUGE BLAST OF WATER!!! CAN SOAK MY WHOLE 10 PERSON FAMILY INCLUDING MY 3 DOGS AND 2 CATS AT ONCE!!!" and such. The truth is that even though it is big, it's not that big. The picture I had in my mind was of a cone of water with a radius of 10 feet soaking everything within it. It turns out that it's like throwing a bucket of water on someone. Also, it seemed to me that the blast wasn't very wide at all, but merely a 6 foot tall, 2 foot wide kind of horizontal high velocity shower, that shoots about 10-15 feet.

Overall it's a great soaker, and certainly the best of the 2005 Super Soaker line, in my humble opinion, but there is still room for improvement. If you want something you can buy for a good price, without assembly, that is still available, the Flash Flood is the gun for you. If you want absolute power and range, I suggest building a homemade soaker, which is more trouble, but a better end result.
