Another long break, but I do have something to show for it.  Top left is my Brigandine, first with the plates taped into position, and then (after the layer of leather) comes the fabric.  The whole thing is then riveted though.  Next is my Dupont, first plain black, and then with the red stripe.  This will be duplicated on the back, and and a white diamond will be placed on the front right (That's my left) At the bottom, is my cloak. first as a trimmed and hemmed curtain, and then with the sash cord added.  I have a completed the cloak with chain and faux fur lining at the shoulder. I will post a picture as soon as I have one.  Addition: The Gambeson has been completed with sleeves and eyelets.

Ok, before you  start complaining about the length of time, I do have a reason. 1, I have a life away from my computer that's a little hectic at the moment, and 2, I've been building the kit and haven't had any decent pics to show. Until now!

On the left is my new sword, Battle ready, that I got for my birthday.

On the upper row left is my Gambeson with the buckles added. Next to it is my Brigandine, which is an old leather jacket with the arms & zips, etc, removed. I then sealed up the front with leather and opened the sides. You can see the leather in the pic on the upper right.

Lower left is my Bishop's mantle, a circle of leather stitched to a leather collar, that acts as a protective layer between armour and skin.  The completed mantle can be seen shortly.

Finally, two pics showing my brig with the (temporary) plates, made of cardboard. I am currently making the plates out of metal.

Ok, Ok, I know I've been lapse with this lately as the date since the last entry says it all.  This is how my progress was as of around 7/8th November of this year, my Gambeson was complete in regards to sewing, but had yet to have its buckles or sleeves added.  Also I'm still using my dark-age boots, but I had managed to acquire some leggings.  My battle shirt is of this time still an old sheet, but I'll keep you posted.  Since the video that this picture came from was shot, I've added some brass eyelets to the shoulders of the Gambeson to attach the arms.
