PAANCHAAL PRINCES - Princes of Drupad's family
-- Mahaabhaarat several times mentions some names as Paanchaal's princes, they could be anybody's sons - Shikhande's, Dhrishtdyumn's or anybody else. Their names are - Chandradev and Dandadhar - killed by Karn on 17th day (Karn, 49);&nnbsp;Janmejaya (Karn, 49); Vyaaghraketu, Susharmaa, Chitra, Ugrayudh, Jaya, Shukla, Rochaman, Singhsen (Karn, 56); 

PAANDU - King, Son of Vichitraveerya and Ambaalikaa, Grandson of Shantanu
Married to - Kuntee (Daughter of Kuntibhoj, Sister of Vasudev - Krishn's father)
                    Maadree - Princess of Madra Desh (Sister of Shalya)
Children - 5 sons - Yudhishthir, Bheem, Arjun, Nakul and Sahadev
--When he, with his both queens, was in foorest on a short vacation, accidentally he killed a Rishi. At that time he was with his wife. Rishi gave him Shaap that as you will be in love with your wife you will also die, as I am dying. It meant that he could not have children.
--But Kuntee said that she had a Mantra whhich she could use to invoke any Devtaa. So she invoked Dharm, Pavan, and Indra and had three sons from them - Yudhishthir, Bheem and Arjun. She taught that Mantra to Maadree also so she invoked Ashwinee Kumaar and had a twins - Nakul and Sahadev.
--Once he got attracted to Maadree so he ddied then and there. Maadree became Satee with him.

PAARVATEE - Devee, Daughter of Himvaan and Mainaa
Married to - Shiv
Children - Ganesh, Kaartikeya (Sometimes he is said to be the son of Agni)
--Her other names are Umaa (because her faather called her by this name); Aparnaa (because she did not eat even Parn - leaves, while doing Tap for Shiv); Shail Kumaaree or Shail Baalaa (because she was the daughter of a Shail - mountain)
--She was the incarnation of Satee and didd severe Tapasyaa to get Shiv as her husband.

PANCHJAN - Raakshas
--He was a conch-shape Raakshas. Krishn kiilled him when He went to bring His Guru's dead son back in the sea. After killing him Krishn took that Paanchjanya conch and tried to give it to his Guru, Saandeepan Muni, but he refused to take it saying "This is yours, you keep it."

--He fought from Paandav's side. He thoughht himself the most superior to Bheeshm Drone, Kripaa, Ashwatthaamaa, Arjun, Vaasudev. He was killed by Ashwatthaamaa on the 17th day of war. [Karn, 20]

PARAASHAR - Rishi, Son of Shakti and Adrashyanti, Grandson of Vashishth

Children - 1 son - Ved Vyaas (from Satyavatee - daughter of Daash Raaj)
--Once Paraashar was crossing Gangaa in Saatyavatee's boat, that he gave a son to her. He wasborn on an island.
--He told Vishnu Puraan to Maitreya Muni.<

PARASHURAAM - Avataar. (Son of Jamadagni and Renukaa; Grandson of Richeek Muni and Satyavatee)

--He was born to exterminate all Kshatriyaa of Prithvi. He exterminated Kshatriya from Prithvi 21 times and filled five tanks from their blood. 
--Once he cut the throats of his mother and brothers at the order of his father Jamadagni. He knew the power of his father. Later he got them revived by his father.
--Among his disciples were (1) Bheeshm whoo later fought with him and defeated him; (2) Karn to whom he gave Shaap because he got his education from him by telling him lie; (3) Drone - he went to him just to ask for something as he was donating everything, but by the time Drone came to him he had already donated everything, even Prithvi, so he taught Drone warfare techniques and gave some weapons.

PAREEKSHIT - King, Son of Abhimanyu and Uttaraa, Grandson of Arjun and Subhadraa
Married to - Iraavatee (Daughter of Uttar - Viraat's son and Uttaraa's brother)
Children - 4 sons - Janamejaya
--Pareekshit was killed in womb by Ashwattthaamaa's Brahm Astra, but Krishn gave him life. He was named as Vishnuraat because he was saved by Vishnu Himself. 
--He was the first king of Kali Yug. He thhought that he wouldn't allow Kali Yug to live in his kingdom, but cunningly Kali got the permission and asked the dwelling place for himself. Pareekshit gave him four places - Where people play dice games, bars, where man meets a woman, and violence. So four types of A-Dharm exist in these places - untruth, pride, attachment, and cruelty. He asked other places also to live so Pareekshit gave him "gold" also. As soon as Pareeksit said "gold", he sat in the gold crown of Pareekshit. Only he inspired Pareekshit to put dead snake in the neck of Shameek Muni which resulted in the Shaap from Shringee Rishi - that Takshak Naag will bite him on the seventh day from the day he put the snake in his father's neck.

PAULOM - Daitya, Sons of Pulomaa (Daughter of Vaishwaanar - Son of Kashyap and Danu)
--Kaalkeya and Paulom, 60,000 in number, were killed by Arjun at the request of Indra, when he was in Swarg Lok to take Divine weapons.

PAURAV - King
--He had the might of 10,000 elephants. Hee was killed by Arjun.

POOTANAA - Raakshas woman, Incarnation of Ratnmaalaa

--She was the Dhaaya of Kans. On Kans' ordder she went to kill Krishn by breast-feeding Him, but herself was killed by Him.
--It is said that she was the incarnation of Ratnmaalaa (Bali's daughter). When she saw Vaaman Bhagvaan she had a desire that she should also have such a child and breast-feed him. But when she saw His Viraat Roop, she wished she would kill Him if he were her son. Bhagvaan heard both of of her wishes and fulfilled them in this life. She breastfed Him with love and tried to kill Him too. She got the status of Bhagvaan's mother.

--His grandson, Virochan's son Bali, becamme a very great donor. He donated Trilok to Vishnu.

-- He was killed by Balraam while they were playing a game. He took Balraam by skyway, but Balraam hit him with his fist and killed him.

--Prithu's father Vane was very cruel, so Rishi killed him through Shaap. Then Braahman churned his body to save the country from agitation. First Mlechchh people appeared from his body, whose complexion was pitch black. Then a man appeared from his right arm carrying a bow, arrow and a Gadaa. He was known as Prithu. Braahman appointed him the king. Since then this land was called as Prithvi.

PRIYAVRAT - King, Son of Swaayambhuv Manu and Shataroopaa
Married to - Barhishmatee (Daughter of Vishwakarmaa), and Kardam Rishi's daughter
Children - 10 sons - Aagneedhra, Agnibaahu, Vapushmaan, Dyutimaan, Medhaa, Medhaatithi, Bhavya, Savan, Putra, and
                      Jyotishmaan (from Barhishmatee)
                 1 daughter - Oorjswatee (from Barhishmatee, Married to Shukraachaarya)
                 2 daughters - Samraat, Kukshi, and 
--Manu had two sons - Uttaanpaad, Priyavraat.
--Among these 10 sons, Medhaa, Agnibaahu aand Putra were Yogee, so he distributed his kingdom into seven Dweep (islands)
--Barhishmatee gave birth to 10 sons - Aaggneedhra, Idhmjivhaa, Yagyabaahu, Mahaaveer, Hiranyaretaa, Ghritprishth, Savan, Medhaatithi, Veetihotra and Kavi. Among them his three sons - Kavi, Mahaaveer and Savan were Brahmchaaree. and one daughter Oorjswatee who was married to Shukraachaarya. (Bhaagvat, 5/1)
--Priyavrat's second wife gave birth to thhree sons - Uttam, Taamas and Raivat. all They became the Manu of their own named Manvantar. (5Bhaagvat, 5/1)  (5Bhaagvat, 8/1 )

PULOMAA - Son of Kashyap and Danu (Daughter of Daksh); Father of Shachee (Indraanee - Wife of Indra)

--Once Indra deceived Hiranyakashyap's sonn Anuhlaad, so he abducted Shachee with the consent of her father Pulomaa. At this Indra got furious and killed Pulomaa. That is how Indra got the name of Pulomaajit.

PULOMAA - Daitya, Daughter of Vaishwaanar

Paulom and Kaalkeya (sons of Kashyap and Kaalakaa - daughter of Vaishwaanar) were 60,000 in number and were killed by Arjun at the request of Indra, when he was in Swarg Lok to take Divine weapons.

PUNJIKAASTHALEE - Apsaraa

--She was an Apsaraa who used to serve Risshi. Once she got a Shaap from them to be born in Vaanar family. So she was born as Anjalee in a Vaanar family and was married to Kesaree. Then she had a son Hanumaan through Pavan Dev.

PURU - Prince, Son of Yayaati and Sharmishthaa
Married to - nnn

--Puru was the youngest son of Yayaati. Hiis other brothers were - Yadu, Turvasu, Druhyu, and Anu,
--When Yayaati took Sharmishthaa (his mothher) to his bed and Devayaanee got angry, she went to her father. Shukra said to Yayaati - "I told you not to take any other woman to your bed, then why did you do it?" Yayaati gave justification for that but Shukra did not consider it proper and gave Shaap to him - "Go and become very ugly looking old." Yayaati said - "It will affect your daughter also." Then Shukra relaxed it saying that he could exchange it with somebody if the other person is ready to take it. Yayaati asked his all the sons one by one to give him his young age and take his old age in exchange, but everybody refused.
--But Puru could not do so. He said - &quoot;Those sons are lucky who can help their father in any way." And he took his father's old age and gave his youth to him. Yayaati enjoyed his son's youth for many years.

PURURAVAA - King, Son of King Il and Budh

Children - 8 sons - Aayu, Dridhaayu, Vashyaayu, Dhanaayu, Vrittimaan, Vasu, Divijaat, and Subaahu.

--Pururavaa was born to Il when he was passing his life as a female as a result of Shaap of Shiv Jee. Il entered the forest - Shar Van, where Shiv was enjoying with Paarvatee. It was Shiv's vow that if any male will enter that forest will become female. So as he entered the forest he and his army became female. Then Paarvatee Jee made this Shaap relaxed for him that he would live one month as male and one month as female. So at one time when he was in female form, as Ilaa, Budh saw her and got attracted to her and started living with her. Ilaa had one son Pururavaa from him. Thus Pururavaa was the first king of Chandra Vansh. He was the younger brother of Shashbindu.
