Reed Valve Assembly
Yamaha issued a technical bulletin regarding installation of the reed valve assembly on the CV80L. The company's service manuals had incorrectly illustrated the procedure for installing the valve and gasket, which prompted the bulletin. In my experience, the problem pertains to the CV80J as well. Here's the correct order:
Maintenance Intervals
The following charts should be regarded only as a guide to general maintenance. Weather, geographical location, and usage patterns may affect the schedules indicated. For example, parts should be inspected, cleaned, and/or lubricated more frequently to avoid damage caused by moisture if the scooter is operated in an area with high humidity.
