ABOUT ME
Born on the 11th of February which is the "Feast Day" of our "Lady of Lourdes", my mother gave me the name Maria Lourdes in honor of the "Blessed Mother". My family and friends call me Malou. I came from the town of Gumaca, province of Quezon. I am second to the eldest in the brood of five. My parents are both retired school teachers and sad to say my father passed away two years ago.Until now I have a hard time thinking that he was no longer around. Anyway his memories will live in our family’s hearts as long as we live. Now that my mother is alone I try to give her everything that she needs, anything in all my strength that will make her happy. My only regret is I can’t be with her for the time being since I’m still working here in the UAE. My mother’s origin, the Davila’s family is from Gumaca, Quezon. My father’s origin, the Sabuelba’s family is from Pagbilao, Quezon. I was born and grown up in Gumaca, Quezon under the care of my auntie who’s now the Mother Abbess in the Monastery of Saint Claire in Sariaya, Quezon. I remember separating with her when I was in third year high school made a great impact in my well-being, like when you lost a love one. From that experienced, I learned to be strong and moved on for life is full of changes, challenges, surprises, and ups and downs. With God’s help I was able to survive.
I graduated in elementary and secondary school in my hometown. Undecided what course to take after high school I went to Manila with my classmates and took entrance examination in University of Santo Tomas, College of Nursing. Fortunately I passed the exam so I decided to take up BS Nursing. At that time BSN is a five year course. After passing the internship and finishing 4th year 1st semester, I decided to quit and got married. Now I have two grown-up daughters. My eldest daughter finished her BS Management Course in San Sebastian Recoletos in Manila and my youngest daughter is already in her 2nd year in Nursing in Far Eastern University in Manila.Waiting for my youngest daughter to finish her study, I guess I still be around here in UAE for three to five more years. See you around then my friend.
