The psych evaluation for me was a breeze, all they had me do was fill out some forms and talk to a couple of shrinks for a few minutes who said that I passed with flying colors and wished me luck with my surgery. The dietician meeting was simple also. I pretty much already knew everything she had to say from talking to so many others and researching on line. Then there was the sleep clinic thing. It was quite strange, went and seen this one guy who after asking a few questions and squeezing my finger tips decided that he wanted me to spend a night there to test for sleep apnea. So the following day I came in and they hooked me up to a ton of wires and stuff and it didn't take me too long to go to sleep because I had been doing a lot of running around the day before and that day, anyways during the night the one lady kept coming in to make me change positions and also at one time she hooked me up to a CPAP machine after which she pretty much left me alone until I woke up with leg cramps. She then decide that since it was about 5 am that I could get up and stay up I wanted to, which I did so she unhooked everything from me and so I got up and took a shower and got dress and went to wait for my appointment with the doc to get the results. During the meeting I was told that I had mild sleep apnea and would have to use a CPAP. He wrote out a script for one and so we went across the street to the medical supply place and got one.
