In February 2002 I met the man that would give me another chance to live my life to the fullest. This man's name is Dr. Michael Sarr. Honestly when I first met him I didn't much like him. He seemed kind of grumpy and mean. During this meeting he once again went over the surgery in detail (which was good because my step-dad was there) and also told us that because of how big I was that he was going to do the distal or very very long limb RNY on me. Meaning he was going to bypass a lot more of my intestines then if I would have been smaller. He also told me that if I were to gain any weight between then and the next time he seen me just before surgery that he would cancel it. Which we agreed to. He said that I didn't have to lose weight I just couldn't gain anything. The day I seen him I weighed in at 534 pounds.
