The Reverend Alison Roche, Vicar |
|
![]() |
‘Hi – I’ve been the vicar
of St. Christopher’s since Dec 2005 and live in the Vicarage in
Milligan Road. We are appreciating our new church building with all
the benefits it brings for us and the local community, not least as
it’s in the Samworth Enterprise Academy where I have a
chaplaincy role. I own a crazy dog called Holly who I enjoy taking for walks, preferably (but not often enough) in the Peak District. I also enjoy playing, singing and listening to all types of music and going to concerts as well as watching films and spending time with friends.’ |
The Reverend John Tonkin, Assistant Minister |
|
John is a retired vicar who helps out at St Christopher's when he can and if needed. He also helps in other parishes when required. He is married to Margaret and they have three children and seven grandchildren. John has an allotment. He enjoys sports and plays table tennis most weeks. He also enjoys rambling - but hopefully not in his sermons! |

I've been worshipping at St Christopher's since 1987, and have
had two children benefit from teaching and activities for kids in the
church. I trained as a Reader and was licensed in 1995, and have been
involved in leading services and preaching regularly since. |
