ACTION YOU CAN TAKE

If you have had blood tests done get copies of them. We can help you interpret them.

If you haven’t had tests done click here for recommended tests.

If you want to know how heavy your menstrual flow is you can count sanitary towels or tampons. Regular hold about 5mls, Super about 10mls and Nighttime about 15mls. Alternatively, you could try the mooncup a device for catching menstrual blood that holds up 30 mls

You can also do basal body temperature charts. This will indicate whether or not you are ovulating normally. Click here for printable chart

We are currently running a letter writing campaign to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) telling them of the side effects that we have experienced and pointing out to them that their guidelines to patients (page 8) are not in line with theirRCOG guidlines to clinicians (Section 6.7 Recommedation 33, page 46) or GMC guidelines and asking them to change them. Click herefor details and an example letter. If you do send a letter could you please email me a copy so I can keep a note of how many complaints they are receiving

You could also consider making an official complaint to your local health authority. We can offer you advice and support if you choose to do this. You can also get help with complaints from your local Health Council if there is one in your area.

If you are suffering severe side effects you may have a case for legal action. We have a list of documents that prove the existence of Post Tubal Syndrome. If you do not have a lawyer you could try contacting AVMA .
