Tour
of PaintShop Pro
The
next set of options are in the
"Edit" menu.

As
you will see, most of them are greyed out
atm - they become active when you have
added something (colour, text, effects
etc) to your image. The most
important greyed out ones are the
"Undo" and "Redo"
options. These are lifesavers if you
have done something to your image and you
don't like it - you just hit
"Undo". If you decide you
liked what you did after all, you can just
hit "Redo" and it puts back what
you've just taken off.
The
"Cut" and "Copy"
options are the same as in other Windows
programmes. You will notice a little
arrow next to the "Paste" option
- this houses lots of ways you can paste
things into your image. They are all
greyed out atm, but when you have
something on your "clipboard"
they become active and you can do all
sorts of things with them.
The
"Clear" option gets rid of
everything that is on your image so make
sure that this really is what you want to
do (if you do it, and you find out that
you want everything back, just hit
"Redo"!)
The
"Empty" option lets you get rid
of everything on your clipboard (anything
you've copied and pasted between images)
and/or lets you get rid of all the history
of the things you have done in PSP that
session (if you choose to delete your
"Command History" you won't be
able to use the Redo/Undo feature for
anything you had done previously in this
session so make sure that you really do
want to get rid of it - PSP does it
automatically every time you close down
PSP)
