THERMO BRICK Panel System

The THERMO BRICK interlocking panel system is designed to provide a watertight self-sealing fit at its joints - absolutely no caulking or sealing is required during or after installation.

Cornering

- Cut THERMO BRICK panel with a diamond tip saw blade at a 46 - 47 degree angle.

- Run a bead of clear silicone on cut edges before screwing to framing or existing surface.

- After silicone becomes tacky, remove excess and using a rough file or sandpaper, go over the cut edges with brick dust to conceal the cut.

- Alternate short and long corners on each row according to the diagram.

Thermo Brick versus Brick
THERMO BRICK

1. Weight: less than 5.7 lbs. / SQFT (a typical 2000 SQFT building would have a weight savings in excess of 61,000 lbs. when compared to full brick construction.

2. Excellent Insulation: THERMO BRICK has an R value of over 8.7.

3. No Foundation Problems: THERMO BRICK can be installed on buildings with foundations designed only for lighter -weight wood/vinyl siding - as well as, no supporting angle iron is required over windows or doors, unlike full brick construction.

4. Very Easily Installed: Professional results can be achieved by anyone with basic carpentry skills - 'do-it-yourselfers' included!

5. THERMO BRICK requires no adhesives, sealants, caulking or mortar either during or after installation - the 'all-in-one' panel is fully protected from the elements and 'job-ready' without the need for any on-site preparation.

6. THERMO BRICK is made with fire-retardant polyurethane.

BRICK

1. Excess Weight: Typical brick construction weight 37 lbs. / SQFT -

this adds over 73,000 lbs. of load on the foundation of a typical 2,000 SQFT house.

2. Poor Insulation: Traditional brick has an R value of less than 0.8.

3.Need angle iron for overhead support.

4. Costly to Install: Requires expensive, seasonal, 'hard-to-get' bricklayer to insure professional installation.

5. Time-consuming, labour-intensive measures must be taken to keep materials from the weather before and during installation, especially in winter.
