A shipment of money is stolen by some bandits. The villagers go to Master Hu, who owns the company who was escorting the money. He refuses to pay back the money that was stolen, so the villagers turn to Master Pang (Casanova Wong) who makes Hu pay the villagers. Meanwhile, a girl comes across the scene of the robbery and finds Dragon Lee sleeping in the grass. He wakes up and she freaks out and takes off. He looks around finding a knife that is familiar to him. Was he sleeping there the whole time? When the bandits attacked there was fighting and killing, still Dragon Lee slept. When a pretty girl is standing over him, he suddenly wakes up. What?
Dragon Lee goes to town and finds a place to stay with Master Lee, who happens to be the father of the pretty girl. After he saves Master Lee and the money from being stolen again, Dragon goes to Hu and gets a job. His first job is to protect the money from possbily being stolen. As soon as he gets to the same exact field where the first guys were attacked, the bandits strike again. The bandits are led by a one-eyed hunchback, whose hunch can also change shape and move. Even though Dragon beats the bandits, the hunchback throws some dirt in Dragon's eyes and then the bandits take off with the money (again). Dragon Lee's men are totally useless. As soon as the bandits show up, they run and cower behind the cart leaving Dragon to do all the work. Some bodyguards those guys are.
With the money gone, Dragon Lee is held responsible and must pay back all the money stolen. His only option is to sell himself to Master Pang. Luckily for Dragon Lee, Master Pang turns out to be his old kung fu buddy, so Pang says he'll give Dragon the money. Pang's hand is covered in a white glove, and he explains that he destroyed his own hand due to his senseless killing. Pang pays the villagers the money and as they return to the village they're attacked and killed by Hu Dragon Lee finds evidence it was Hu and tells Pang. On his way home Dragon runs into Hu and they get into a fight and Dragon Lee kills Hu by ripping out his belly button.
Dragon Lee puts all the pieces together (finally!) as it's actually Pang behind everything. Dragon Lee confronts him and pulls off his glove revealing that Pang's hand isn't even crippled! Pang then kicks Dragon's ass big time and tells him to get lost. Not one to be humiliated Dragon goes into the hills to train. Even though Pang's hand is revealed not to be crippled, he still puts back on the glove and pretends like it is. Maybe his hand was just cold?
After mastering some technique that involves punching paper and water, Dragon is finally ready to fight. After the bandits find him, he quickily finishes them off killing them in one punch with a bloody result. At Master Pang's Dragon fights his way through Pang's henchmen. He finally finishes off Pang by kicking him right in the balls. Yep, that'll do it.
First of all, in addition to all that fighting and violence stuff we also get to see the pretty chick's ass. Dragon Lee even gets to kiss her. What a player! You go dawg. The opening credit sequence and flashback of Casanova Wong are obviously taken from other films. The Casanova Wong flashback fight scene looks pretty good as he performs 5 spinning high kicks in a row and keeps going. I stole that from William's review.
A good enough Dragon Lee film with lots of fighting and kooky characters. First up is ... who wears this big medallion that blinks red whenever he's in prime ass kicking mode, but also he has a huge outie belly button which also blinks. The outie belly button is pretty nasty looking and an obviously weak point that Dragon takes advantage of. When he rips it off there is about two feet of bloody red cord attached to it. For some reason Casanova Wong is also followed around by two shirtless muscle men. They just stand or walk behind him twitching their pecs. They're only reason they're in the movie is that they got the muscles. Their one fight against Dragon is just bad and easily the worst fight of the movie. There is also the one-eye hunchback who can actually pull off some nice moves and is quick on his feet. But fake hand Casanova Wong is the lead villian cuz "his kicking is off tha hook" as were told by RZA (I stole that from NJYana's review). The fight between him and Dragon is pretty fast, sometimes due to undercranking, but most of the time due to the skill of the actors. Too bad they couldn't come up with more imaginative choreography instead of Dragon defeating Casanova by putting his foot in his crotch.
To wrap up the review, we see some chick's ass! See the picture! See the movie! Chick's ass! That's the end of my review! Dragon Lee ripping out some guys belly button! Ass! Casanova Wong gettin' kicked in the balls! Ouch! See the movie and see some chick's ass!
