This tray could be used as a cutting board, but most folks would use it as a tray, wall hanging or table centerpiece. The wine bottle is made of purpleheart, and sports a label of lacewood, cherry, figured maple, and an oak "sun". Soft white maple borders the sides of the bottle while purpleheart finishes off the ends. This piece measures approximately 24" long, 11 1/2" wide and is 5/8" thick and begs to be hefted and touched. It is finished with mineral oil which really brings out the characterisics of the many different woods in this tray. |
