On the Judge's table... Ancaster, Ontario, Canada 2001

Though it is quickly growing in popularity,
the Sphynx is considered a rare exotic.

This breed is sometimes called the
Canadian Sphynx because the first
examples of the breed to be used in
formal breeding programs were born
in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The Sphynx is also known as the
'hairless cat', though it may have
some hair, rather like peach fuzz.

In its temperament, the Sphynx is
amazingly confident in addition to
being affectionate and out-going.
It loves human attention and is
happiest when it is curled up
in a warm lap.

Special Care?
If you are comfortable with the
temperature, your Sphynx will be fine.
However, the Sphynx does require
a regular bathing routine.
