In the Beginning
In the beginning.... It would seem odd to start a year end message with the words "In the beginning". It's almost the end of the old year and not yet the beginning of the new. Yet in the new there can be said there is a beginning, a beginning of not just a new year, but a new beginning. Too often we move from day to day, month to month, and year to year as a series of calendar days. Yet, in time, there is sometimes a real beginning. This beginning is not connected with calendar days, nor human count, but in the space of universal being where there is no paper counting of the days, months, and years. Beginnings are, of course, a step away from endings and there is always a needed letting go and taking a step forward. Sometimes these steps are not easy ones, but they are giant ones. Beginnings are not always easy, as birth is not always easy. The unknown is ahead and the paths will not be defined ones. It is up to you, each individual, to define a path, to stay the course, to progress into the unknown with courage and fortitude.
This new beginning will take care, comfort, consoling, and conscious living. It will take strength and a determination to proceed in the right direction or right action. To approach the coming year, be at your best centered self. Know your values and live them. Help others with love.
