"Consider"
As
evening drops its curtain and changes the look and feel of earth, thoughts
turned inward seem to be more carefully considered. It is the softening of the
night, the slowing of activities for many that changes the environment and
allows for more considerate time. We rush, rush, rush and at times it goes on
and on from day to evening, to day to evening. A quiet time is not mandated nor
is it often sought, yet, it is important that a few minutes be set aside in the
mind, in the body, and in the spirit. Clocks continue round the clock but the
human body, though it continues to perform, must have time to rest and
recuperate from the stresses of the day. It is the thinking time, the thankful
time, the awareness time that may be missing from the daytime for various
reasons. Stillness makes some people uncomfortable. They become nervous and ill
at ease. Their inner timing is not at its regular speed and therefore, the body
reacts. This can pass with a few moments if a person is willing to stay on the
course of attention. Consider each day, consider self, consider actions and
consider God.
