Job Description:

  • Supervises Local Area Network (LAN) installation and implementation.

  • Supervises the monitoring of Local Area Network (LAN) performance in every user station and see to it that they have access to the server.

  • Provides access to all students, teaching and non-teaching personnel during their laboratory sessions, giving them passwords and rights during log-in and log-out for data protection and user restrictions and allocating disk space for every user in the network

  • Plans disaster control program that would save both academic and operation files in case of trouble data loss.

  • Ensures all data and software on disk/server is protected and that the proper back up plans are implemented.

  • Supervises the management of programming software used by students for their laboratory classes and applications used by the different departments and also some system application such as Enrollment System (for registrar), the Accounting System (for Accounting Dept.), Grading System (for teachers) and the EIS (for HRD) and other system applications for the use of the AMA Group of Companies.

  • Monitor problems in the Computer Laboratory and other Departments that require Systems Application such as formatting   of hard disk, installation of software, General Back – Up of Files, creation of additional LAN user, assigning of individual directories in LAN, and user’s rights in Enrollment System

  • Ensures the protection and maintenance of all hardware and software resources.
