I still
remember when my instructor on the subject "Internet
Technology and Multimedia Systems"
asked the class to submit a design for a web page of any topic which
according to her would be interesting... At that very
moment, the very first thing that comes to my mind was a personal
web page...isn't it
interesting... But they
disagree... That is why when asked to submit on personal web page as a
part of the requirement "I, myself was absolutely
delighted". It is
by the mere fact that me - a
computer enthusiast since birth
will make a site of my own and
let the world touch
me...
Owen
is here. Just writing this to reflect on my 21+ years of life (thus far)
and to keep some interested people up to date on my life. As things change
and time progresses, so will this site. Still trying to figure out HTML,
but, as my friends say, "It's all cool."

I
think most web pages are born in arrogance, a few in blissful
ignorance but most rest on the assumption we "hey, I have
something to say." The web is conducive to this
building of the self-referential shrine to the ego. How easy it
is to acquire a copy of FrontPage and begin typing, woefully few
are really shown how to do it. So we find ourselves in a swarm
of egos, no wonder America has taken to the net by storm where
could the 'I' scream so brilliantly with their colors and their
blinking tags. A mass of teeming, ignorant, swarming
energy.

Isn't
arrogance a bad thing?

Mandella once said people's greatest failure is not a failure to
be humble but a failure to "let their brightness
shine." I agree. What a beautiful thing I think it is
when out of Filipinos
infiniteness flies 'I's
(meaning - YOU)
shaped by choice. Whether you disagree or not on what
constitutes beauty through this act of surfing we are
acknowledging there is a beauty ..infinite beauty in infinite
diversity in infinite combinations ....i would not want to
know a page zero, a starting point for the web for naming a page
one would place a false order, a false limit on a medium whose
nature is to be self-ordering, self-defining in both the
creation of the web pages and in the experience of surfing those
self-defining identities. these web identities. We build our
shrine to the new global consciousness.

these identities real? real in that this age
worshipping of information-worships these personalities of
information, mediated by a method informing we use to
create our world.
Let me
say this, as with the matrix :
More important than What is WHEN.
