Summary:

Aang-tachi come across Jet, part of a Fire Nation rebellion. Aang and Katara are abounded by Jet's ambitions and actions. But Sokka's not so sure. After robbing a harmless, elderly man (and framing him) and conspiracy to blow up a dam, Sokka uses his "instincts" to tell Jet is nothing but a mongrel. Katara (who has developed a crush on Jet) doesn't believe him, and does only when she sees his horror displayed. Luckily, Sokka's instincts tell him to save the impending town from destruction, because the elderly man recognizes Sokka as the one who stopped Jet from killing him before. Jet is told off-by Katara.

• Jet, like Katara, has lost a parent or two the Fire Nation.
