The Marine Modellers Society is a group of modellers who come together to enjoy building and operating all forms of marine models.
Membership of the Society is open to all who are interested in marine models, whether you are a novice modeller who wants to draw on the vast experience of the members or an experienced modeller who wishes to be involved with others who enjoy marine models. Juniors are more than welcome.
If you have never built a model before, we can help you on your way with advice on how to start.
We are a fully registered organisation and carry public liability insurance - Our rules and regulations are minimal and designed for enjoyment and safety of all participants
The club having concern for the environment and native fauna do not allow IC (Internal Combustion motors in models) All club models are propelled by either electric motor or live steam - This allows more than enough margin for a sedate harbour tug to a hi-speed motor torpedo boat
Some club members do have sailing vessels, however the main object of the club is for electric or steam powered ocean liners, warships, harbour vessels etc rather than sail. The models being of self construction, either by scratch building or from kits. If your main interest is in sailing yachts, then it is suggested a club which specialises in these models should be approached.

My apologies for tardiness in getting other pages on line. Medical conditions have taken up a lot of my time. Dave Webmaster.
