make the master sword. In Oot the hilt of the master sword is blue, but
hundreds of years later in Lttp pictures show that hilt of that master sword
is red. Its my belief that the original master sword from Oot was in danger
during the imprisoning war and Link's absence while he was in Termina. The
sword was hidden to protect it's power, and eventually was melted down and
the metal was used to make arrows, silver arrows. The master sword is the
only power that can defeat Gannon in Oot, but in Loz there is no master
sword, only a magical sword which isn't even needed to defeat Ganon, only the
silver arrows. In a Lttp the silver arrows are also only needed to defeat
Ganon, the Master sword is only needed to progress in the game. Now I know
what your thinking, the triforce is the "golden power, but one piece would be
too small to make an entire blade of a sword, so it was probably tempered
with silver, but the power mixed with the silver would still be present. It
would also explain why Link always manages to beat Ganon, you would think
their triforces would cancel the other out, but if the master sword was
indeed the triforce Link would have the advantage.
P.S. Just to explain the red hilt of the master sword in Lttp, after the
original sword was taken for protection a new one was probably made by
powerful magicians for protection in the absence of the real thing. Although
not nearly effective as the real thing, the red hilt sword was not that
important beacause the silver arrows were all that were needed.
