This region covers an area from HARISHCHANDRA- GAD  to BHIMASHANKAR.  It has one of the most rugged and inaccessible part of the Sahyadris. This area can be approached by road from KALYAN, MURBAD and MOROSHI up the MALSHEJ GHAT to KHURI and OTUR.  Various places in this region are accessible on this road.  The main road had in this area is JUNNAR-GHAT  (Kukdi valley) JUNNAR- AMBOLI (Mina Valley) and NARAYANGAON and towards AHUPE (Ghori valley).
