REGIONS OF WARNA AMBOLI AREA

The main crest of the Sahyadris continues south from the KUMBARLI ghat road. This is the most unknown and thickly forested part of the Sahyadris. Wild life can be found south of HELWAK.

This is the catchment's area of the WARNA river. It starts with a giant dam at CHANDOLI, creating a huge lake. The banks of the lake is a great place for naturalist, trekkers etc., further south are AMBOLI ghat and PHONDA Ghat the last motor able roads of the Sahyadris.
