Sausage Bean Soup

3/4 pound Italian sausage
1/2 cup onion -- chopped
1 clove garlic -- minced
1 can (15.5 oz butter beans -- rinsed & drained
1 can (15 oz) black beans -- rinsed & drained
1 can (14.5 oz diced tomatoes -- undrained
1 can (14.5 oz beef broth
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 Tablespoons Parmesan cheese
In a large saucepan, cook suasage, onion and garlic until the sausage is browned; drain.
Add beans, tomatoes, broth and basil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle each
serving with Parmesan cheese.
