My name is Marjie, and as of October 22, of this year I will have been married 20 years. I also have 2 teenage daughters, ages 18 and 16.
For the last 2 years I have been a waitress at a small cafe in this little two horse town we call home. We live in a true Texas hick metropolis, with a population of about 6200. Of course everybody knows everybody and their cousin (who is usually their cousin too;-)). You don't have secrets, or if you do , there are all kinds of rumors as to what it is! For instance, I have several tattoos, and just about everyone knows what they are and where, EXCEPT one. Well, there is a customer where I work who has offered $100.00 (a reward of sorts) to anybody who can tell him what it is. It's like that here, but I love it anyway!
I'm not a highly educated person, but I think I'm a fairly smart woman. I have been teaching myself HTML, and I have made this site to demonstrate what I have learned so far. to get a look at all of our pets.As you know, I have two daughters, who by the way won't let me use their real names, so Sunshine is my oldest, and Himitsu is my youngest. Himitsu, (which stands for secret in Japanese)is working on her own Anime site called (what else?) Himitsu's Anime World. I think it is turning out really well. Sunshine now has her own site called Sunshine's Spot. It has things like her favorite music (alternitive & boy bands like Nsync) and also some pictures and things.
Pete,my wonderful husband, has been employed with the city of (hick town) for about 7 years. He has also been a volunteer firefighter for about 6 years. He loves being a fireman. Most of the time he gets to drive, but he really likes to get in on the action! He has his own site, starting with Pete's Paradise (it's a tribute to his high school rodeo days and other things). There is also a Fireman page and some for his favorite singer Cher and actress Raquel
I have lots of different kinds of interest, like reading, working on our Family sites, and other miscellaneous things.
I'm still not very good at this web site buisness, but I'm learning more every day. Some times it's pretty hard to get what you want your page to do, but in the end when it finally turns out right, it's all worth it.
I have always loved reading, Stephen King is one of my current favorites. I have loved in the past, Agatha Christie, Victoria Holt, and others.
I don't watch much T.V., but I do occasionally like to rent a movie and watch it. Now music is a different story, I absolutely love most kinds of music.I mainly listen to soft rock, but I've sort of been on a Country kick here recently. I guess the only kinds of music I don't like is some real hard stuff, ( even some alternative is okay). Mozart is my favorite Classical artist. R. Carlos Nakai is my favorite Native American artist. so you see I DO like all kinds of music.
Believe it or not, I do like outside things too! I like to go fishing, camping, and swimming. When we go camping I like to rough it, tents, sleeping on the ground, cooking on a open fire, ect... I guess it is my way of getting away from it all.
One other intrest of mine, is the Native American way of life, their philosophy of life, and things like that. I have always been interested in this, but when I married Pete, it became more important to me. He doesn't have much in him (and we're not even sure what kind), but we are proud of it just the same. We know his Great grandmother and grandmother were raised on a Cherokee reservation. We also know that the Cherokee would take in other Tribes. His Great grandmother was full blood, so we figure that makes him at least 1/8. I think that's enough to be proud of!
