Mark's World of Empire With a loyal subject count of 1 (me), and meager territories under my control, it is clear that my Empire is very young. Even my claim to an Empire button on this web site is a stretch. Nevertheless, everybody is the supreme ruler of their own domain, and I figure the best way to represent my domain on my web site was through the "Empire" button. From the Merriam Webster Dictionary, note the definition of Empire: 1 a (1) : a major political unit having a territory of great extent or a number of territories or peoples under a single sovereign authority; especially : one having an emperor as chief of state (2) : the territory of such a political unit b : something resembling a political empire; especially : an extensive territory or enterprise under single domination or control Despite my belief that singular domination and control is not the best way to organize people and property, I am interested in increasing my influence in the world. The best tactic I have found so far (probably from the Idiot's Guide to Being Emperor) is to treat people as they would like to be treated. Pretty simple stuff, but broadly applied, it can make your Empire a great place to live. For kicks, and to remind you that all empires eventually come to an end, check out the photo below:
