The name "Left Hot in August" came up while chatting w/ my favorite Elba. After I got approved I started to discuss the site w/ her. She said he's born in August and he's a lefty, I replied with lefty in August. After fooling around with the words a bit I ended up with "Left Hot in August". The hot coming from his un-ignorable looks and it's hot in August so it makes sense either way.
