It's Mark back with another Snoop and Xzibit update. First off a warning to everyone trying to download Xzibit tracks from Napster or Scour. Some genius is putting there own garbage up and naming it Xzibit - Restless LP etc, so don't waste your time.

Second, I've got some album news for both Snoop's Last Meal, and Xzibit's Restless LP. They are both on sale now at
CDNOW
. Just click on the links and you can see their release dates, as well as being able to buy them at a reduced price if you would like.

Also, check the bottom of the page for archived news. I just put January to July 2000 there. Keep checking back for more album updates soon.

What's up everybody, it's Mark back up in here with another update. First, I've got Snoop's tentative tracklisting for "Dead Man Walking" from Death Row. This is another attempt by the haters at Death Row to make one of their former artists look bad, just like they tried to do when they released Chronic 2000 right around when Dre was about to release his Chronic 2000. Now we all know that Dre took it to the next level with his Chronic 2001, I just hope Snoop can do the same when he releases the last meal.

Snoop's "Dead Man Walking" from Death Row
1. Nuthin' But A "G" Thang
2. Head Doctor (featuring Swoop G)
3. Gin & Juice
4. Death Row East Side Party (featuring Nate Dogg)
5. Murder Was The Case
6. Ain't No Fun
7. Doggfather (Timbaland Remix)
8. Midnight Love (featuring Daz Dillinger & Raphael Saadiq)
9. Death Row Eastside (featuring Tray Dee & Daz Dillinger)
10. Who Am I (What's My Name?)
11. Doggy Dogg World
12. Too High (featuring Daz Dillinger & Big Pimpin')
13. Vapors
14. Usual Suspects (featuring Various Artsists)
15. Keep It Real (featuring Mack 10, Bad Azz, Techniec & Kurupt)
16. Snoop Bounce (Rock N' Roll Remix)

Most of these songs have been released before, and I would discourage anyone from buying anything from Death Row.

Second, I've got another tentative tracklisting for you from Xzibit's forthcoming Restless LP. It should be an amazing album, just look at who's appearing. I don't know about you, but this reminds me an awful lot of when Dre released the first Chronic album, then followed with Doggystyle. We should have the MP3s from the album up soon.

Tentative Tracklisting for Xzibit's Restless LP
01. Intro (feat. Dr Dre)
02. Get Your Walk On
03. DNA (feat. Snoop Dogg)
04. Loud & Clear
05. Take Your Stripes (feat. Dr. Dre)
06. Take Me There (feat. Tray Dee & Ms. Roq)
07. You Know (feat. Dr. Dre)
08. Step Up
09. Fuckin' You Right
10. I Got To Have It (Money)
11. Sorry I'm Away So Long
12. X files (feat. RBX)
13. W-E-S-T (Till We Die) (feat. Eastsidaz)
14. Da Shroomz (interlude)
15. Shroomz Pt. 2 (feat. Eminem)
16. We Can Get Crazy (feat. Method Man)
17. Its funky Enough (feat. George Clinton & Soopafly)
18. Likwit Party Outro (feat. Defari and King T)

And finally, I've added two 213 related tracks to the MP3 section: 1. The track off of Lil Bow Wows album, 2. The 213 remix to Tamia's new track. Check them out in the MP3 section.

Back for another update. First, Dre was on BET's RapCity a few days ago and he was talking about his future releases. He said that he was going to make everyone wait for Hittman's new album, which I'm not really looking forward to anyway, and he's going to drop 62's album first. He's the guy at the end of XXplosive. I don't know if he can carry a whole album by himself. What do you think? Check the Message Board for discussion. Dre also mentioned that he was going to be getting back in to R&B again, and that he's 21 tracks into his new female groups album. It should be interesting if this does better than some of his previous R&B ventures.

I've also got some MP3 news for you. Check out the newly updated MP3 Page with a fresh track from E-40 featuring Nate Dogg - Nah Nah Nah. It's got a dope west coast beat produced by Battle Cat. I've also added some new links to the MP3 Page. Enjoy!

In other news, allhiphop.com reports that "Snoop Dogg is the target of a Pasadena California based organization who call themselves "Day One." The group, which is a non-profit organization is calling for the end of Snoops's weekly radio show on Power 106. Over 70 people protested his show outside of the radio stations offices. The show, titled "The Weekly Smoke Out Session" is being targeted by the group for glorifying drug use. The coalition, which consists of members of the church, have launched a cease-fire campaign, to stop the use of weed, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The group is offended at the way Snoop starts the show, by encouraging listeners to get their Blunts, lighters and bongs. The group called Power management irresponsible for allowing blatant promotion of drugs over their airwaves. In one promotion, Snoop played weed related songs, the listeners wrote them down, and called in. The winning person received a box of blunts. Vicki Phillips, the director of publicity for the organization stated: 'We aren't trying to attack the music, or Hip-Hop, we are just out to clean it up.'."

Snoop Greatest Hits Album and Movie Role!

After lingering in pre-production for almost a year and a half, rapper Snoop Dogg is finally set to start shooting his new feature film, "Bones," with director Ernest Dickerson in Vancouver, British Columbia later this month.

Pam Grier, the '70s star whose career was revived after a starring turn in Quentin Tarantino's 1997 movie, "Jackie Brown," will star in "Bones" opposite Snoop Dogg, according to "The Hollywood Reporter."

Produced by New Line Cinema, the plot of "Bones" combines elements of both "The Crow" and "Ghost," as Snoop will portray a ghost who returns from the grave after 20 years in order to take revenge on those who killed him and destroyed his neighborhood.

Grier has been cast as a clairvoyant who was also Snoop's girlfriend before he was killed. In the movie, Snoop attempts to reconcile with his former lover.

The rapper has been attached to the film project, his first starring role, for quite some time, as he was originally approached about doing "Bones" back in April 1998.

Since then, Snoop has been busy with his music-related endeavors, having released two solo albums, 1998's "Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told" and 1999's "Top Dogg," as well as executive producing the new record from Tha Eastsidaz.

In related news, Snoop Dogg's former label, Death Row Records, plans to release a "best of" album containing some of the Doggfather's early classics, as well as several new and unreleased tracks.

The album, appropriately titled "Snoop Dogg's Greatest Hits," is scheduled for a March 28 release, and features such Snoop classics as "Nuthin' But A G Thang," "Who Am I (What's My Name)," "Gin & Juice," and a remix of "Murder Was The Case."

The track listing for "Snoop Dogg's Greatest Hits":

February 4, 2000

Here's an album that was not properly promoted. It could have been a huge hit, but it slid under the table. Lil 1/2 dead (remember him from Lil Ghetto Boy?) put out a CD in 1994, completely produced by Dr Dre with some of Dre's true G-Funk beats.
Check out these clips using a Real Audio Player.
