ABOUT MARKREE DOG AGILITY CLUB

Markree Dog Agility Club was founded in October 2006 to provide agility training for dogs and owners from Sligo and the surrounding areas. Training commenced in January 2007 at Markree Castle in Collooney, Co. Sligo. We currently have 15-20 dog owners who train on a regular basis. The bravest of us have even ventured to our first competitions.

Agility was first introduced to the crowds at Crufts in England in 1978. It is a fun and rewarding dog sport that suits dogs and owners of all ages, all backgrounds and all shapes. It is extremely popular throughout the world, and it is very entertaining for both dogs and owners, and of course, it is a very crowd pleasing sport too. Although yet quite little known in Ireland, it is becoming more popular all the time. If you are interested in joining in the fun, please contact us!
