Hello everybody! Man...I've realized how hard it is to update this blog frequently...I haven't written in it for a week!

Anyways, most of you know that I went to Worship Together 5 other people from MCBC last Thursday to Saturday. It was a great experience! I was really able to worship...I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone next year if they host it again=)

One of the things that stuck to me most was something Mike Pilavachi said: "You get a beautiful view from the mountain top, but nothing grows there. Things only grow in the valleys." Therefore, we've gotta learn how to appreciate life as it is (even when everything is so depressing).

Anyways, I'm getting tired now, I'm gonna go to bed now=)

G'nite,
     Angela

Greetings, Earthlings!...=P Don't mind me...I'm just kinda hyper from a few Fuzzy Peaches that I consumed on my bus ride home=) hehe...

Anyways, I just wanted to leave a quick note to all the grade 10s who are writing their Grade 10 Literacy Test in the next two days: GOOD LUCK!!! I'm sure you'll all pass=) Trust me, you'll have more trouble staying awake through the test than actually passing it...it's quite repetitive...=P

Anyways, I will be rock-climbing while you guys are writing your test=) Mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Did I mention that I'm a little hyper? Mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Okay, I think I'll go now...before I scare you off=) I think that's enough craziness from Angela for one day=P

Have yourselves a great day!
Angela (a.k.a. "Hello Kitty", "Jellybean", etc. - How do I end up with all these weird nicknames?)

6:10pm

Hey peoples!!! How was your week? Sorry...I've been a little busy this past week, which started out a little stressful, but eased up a bit these past few days...so I haven't updated my blog for a while=(

Anyways, I've had a pretty okay week=P Although I was pretty sore from going rock-climbing on Wednesday...hehe...but I'm going again this week=) It's SO MUCH FUN!!! If you've never been indoor rock-climbing before, you should go!!!

Friday was Bible Study at WAY Fellowship (the youth group for high-schoolers at my church). It was a good time of fellowship and we discussed wut we could do to bond as a group of teenage Christians. I had a committee meeting last nite...LOTS OF FUN!!! Had a great time of prayer, food, chats and LOTS of laughs=) Today, I learned more about going on missions in Sunday school. hehe...LeMonde! Thanx for finally coming back to visit=) You were greatly missed! I also went out for Dim Sum at lunch...mmmm....so good...It's been so long since I've gone out for Dim Sum....

I'm working on my English response right now for "Nineteen Eighty-Four" by George Orwell...but am currently stuck and unable to think of wut to write...*sigh*...maybe I'll have better luck after dinner=P

This coming week should be pretty good...I get Wednesday and the morning of Thursday off from school due to the Grade 10 Literacy Test (GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO WILL BE WRITING IT!!!) and Friday and Saturday off cuz I'll be going to the Worship Together Conference! YAY!!! hehe...=P

Gotta finish my homework,

4:27pm

*sigh* I've had a tough weekend - fun for the most part, but tough. For most of you who know me well, I pretty much fit under the category of a "problem-solver", however, recently I've realized or have been forced to realize that I can't solve everything.

In Romans 8:18, it says:
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."
And I'm trying so hard to hold on to that...that God has the best plan possible for me...even if it means a bit of pain right now.

In the same chapter, verses 24-27, it says:
"For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently...In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE OUGHT TO PRAY FOR, BUT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF INTERCEDES FOR US WITH GROANS THAT WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."

Recently, I've found myself speechless when in prayer - not knowing wut to say...or how to say it. But I've always been told that I shouldn't always do the talking when I'm praying and I should do some listening. Maybe this is God's way of teaching me how to do that.

I'm tired. And I've got my French presentation to prep for tomorrow. And today's my parents' 24th wedding anniversary! I think we're going out for dinner=)

Hope you have a good week,
     Angela Mok

1:22pm

Good afternoon, everybody!!! How are you all doing? Did you have your Thanksgiving dinner yet? I did...and there was SOOOOOO much food!

No Chinese school today, yet I woke up at 7:15am this morning to go say "Goodbye" to my parents (they're going on one of those Chinese bus tours to Chicago for their 24th wedding anniversary=P)! Then I watched a bit of TV, took a shower, cleaned the house and ate my lunch...Man...Who cleans on Thanksgiving weekend?

Anyways, I'm gotta type up my French biography and touch up my floor plan for Construction Tech class=P

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Looking forward to my three-day weekend,

12:20am

Why am I up so late? Yes, this is a question I often ask myself=P Especially since I still have my biography of Edith Piaf (the writer of "La vie en rose") to translate into French for peer editing tomorrow (or should I say today?)

Oh well, I'm looking forward to tonite's THANKSGIVING DINNER!!! Mmmmm...Mr.Tee's AMAZING! He's cooking 3 turkeys and a bunch of other stuff! And so are all you guys who are coming early to help out! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Especially Charlotte and Celine, who have been stressing out these past few weeks in preparation for it!

Well I had better go now! Here are some pics that I found on a website that Justin so kindly referred me to! Enjoy!

Now how can you not fall in love with them!?!

Luv in Him who gives me rest,
     Angela Mok

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY, JENNIFER!!! hehe...Anyways...

I just finished re-doing my floor plan for Construction Tech. class and typing up my English essay (which is due Friday). Feeling kinda tired...*yawn*...And I've gotta get to school at 7:30am for Jazz Choir! Man...why did I join so many extra-curriculars?...Well, come to think of it, there's not that many...just that Glenforest Christian Fellowship and Jazz Choir are in the mornings, while Chamber Choir and French Tutors (if people actually come for help) are after school=P

So, I guess I better go to bed now!

Dog-tired,
     Angela Mok

11:00pm

I can't believe it's only Tuesday. There hasn't been too much work from school recently, but still, I somehow manage to stay up late hours. This Friday's the WAY Thanksgiving Dinner and there's gonna be 100 PEOPLE!!! Can you believe it!?! I have no idea how we're gonna squeeze everyone in the Christian Education Room...but I'm sure we'll figure something out, right?

It's getting late and I've still gotta do my devos and read a bit of George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four" (it's a great book, but it's taking me a long time to digest)=P

G'nite!

9:37pm

Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well...My week's been a little on the tough side, but, with God's help, I'll pull through=) I just wanted to thank Charlotte for this joke she sent me, cuz it really brightened up my day...I hope it does the same for you. Feel free to forward to others! God bless you and I hope you have a wonderful week! Enjoy!

Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter, ten men and one woman. Unfortunately, the rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one has to leave because otherwise they were all going to fall. They were not able to decide on who it would be. Finally the one woman made a very touching speech saying that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because as a woman she is used to sacrificing everything for her husband and kids, or for men in general, without ever getting anything in return. As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping their hands...

Luv in Christ always,

Hello everybody! Thank you for visiting my web page=) I've been working on it every so often during my summer break, trying to figure out how HTML works=P (yes...some of you may know that I am technologically-challenged...)

Anyways, I was told by my sister that my cousin (yes...you, Vicki!) had requested me to put a journal on my page to keep her updated while in university. So I hope you're happy, Vicki!!! hehe...Anyways, I just wanted to start this today, cuz I DON'T HAVE ANY HOMEWORK this weekend!!! And if I don't start it now, I never will=P

Hopefully, I can keep updating this every so often. If you guys have any suggestions, problems, etc., feel free to e-mail me at: marshmallow_bean@hotmail.com =)

Luv in Christ,
     Angela Mok
