Pictured below are the actual guns used for this recording project. The gunshot recordings were made using an x-y stereo pair of microphones and recorded at 16bit/44.1 khz (CD quality) on a digital recorder. The bolt cycling recordings were recorded in the studio using a 24bit 48khz sampling rate recorder. An ORTF stereo mic technique was used and placed in the position of the ears of person operating the bolt.
