Wedding Party

The women, described by the bride:

Roxanne Pascente - Maid of Honor

Roxanne and I met our first day at Hope College. We were roommates our freshman year and have lived with each other ever since. We were both dance majors, as well as best friends. We have been through thick and thin, enduring all of our college adventures together. Roxanne is living in Chicago right now and has a job at a public relation firm. She is a great friend to both Marty and I. I am sure that she will do a wonderful job as Maid of Honor. She is also in charge of the Bachelorette party in Chicago.

Beth St. Clair - Bridesmaid

Beth and I met my sophomore year at Hope during campus singing competition (believe it or not). We quickly became friends and then roommates the next semester. Our time living together was short, but our friendship will last forever. The characteristic that Beth is best known for is for being the life of the party. Beth also has a wonderful opportunity to teach for a year in the Philippines, where she was raised. She will return to the States on June 6, 2000.

Karen Shipley - Bridesmaid

Back in the day, Karen was my high school buddy. Now, she is still a good friend . . . and a police cadet. Who would've ever guessed? Karen and I have been on many a double date together, B.M. (before Marty), as well as had our share of country concerts, cheese fries, and toilet paper parties. I cherish Karen's friendship because she has always accepted me for who I am, even when I left to attend college and she left to go to boot camp. The hardest part of this wedding may be getting Karen out of her uniform and into a bridesmaid's dress . . . Just kidding Karen! She is in charge of the Bachelorette party in Michigan.

Jennie Karr - Bridesmaid

Jennie and I also met at Hope College our freshman year. We got to know each other well through our many dance and education classes that we had together. (Boy, those were the days!) Jennie and I got to know each other even better last fall when we got to spend the semester student teaching in Chicago. Jennie is fun, outgoing, and talented, as well as an excellent friend to both Marty and myself.

Shelley Young - Bridesmaid

For those of you who do not know Shelley, she is my glamorous, breath-taking, beautiful, wonderful, and talented 16 year old cousin from California. Shelley is a HCBN (Hard Core Band Nerd) and spends many hours of her time playing her trumpet in the Sonora High Golden Regiment; a 252 member marching band. She is also president of the sophomore class at Sonora High School this year which keeps her actively involved in student council and almost every student activity. She maintains a 3.81 grade point average even though she is taking many challenging honors classes. On Saturdays she is a receptionist at d.fine salon. Her mother, Aunt Nancy, is my godmother and was recently married to Roger Sigmon. I am very excited to have Shelley as a part of my wedding. I know she will add spirit, joy, and excitement to the wedding since she is always fun to be around.

Janelle Young - Junior Bridesmaid

Janelle is my other cousin from California. She is a beautiful eleven year old who likes to ride horses, downhill ski, and do gymnastics. She wins gymnastics competitions frequently and is going to nationals in Florida next year. Janelle also likes frogs and video games. She is also the daughter of my Aunt Nancy, and sister to Shelley. Janelle will do a wonderful job as the junior bridesmaid.

Ellie LaRoy Kristin's grandmother, is my right hand lady for many of the wedding duties. She will also be giving me a shower this spring. If you need her, please do not hesitate to call her. She will be more than willing to help.
