Jesse is a mentally-challenged hound mix. His favorite things to do are to jump up and down, eat and pee. I got Jesse when he was 8 weeks old, in 1995. My friend, Tina, and I were driving by when we saw a sign that said "Free Puppies", and who could resist that? (All right,no rude comments, please!) So we stopped and asked the lady that lived there about them. The mother dog was not there at the time. The lady said "Oh, she's not very big, only about 20 pounds or so." This was important to me, because we had to rent at the time, and most apartments won't allow pets over 25 pounds. So I took Jesse home and he began to grow...and grow...and grow! Now he's a big, ole 60 pound hound dog! All I have to say is, the daddy dog must've been a mammoth! Anyway, Jesse had to stay with my parents until Bill got out of the Navy in the summer of 1998. Then they sold their house, and now Jesse lives with us. He didn't get much training when he was young, so now he's a bit of a moron. Then again, maybe it's heredity! ![]() |
