Vegetarian Sermons

I saw this question asked. Paul admonished some folks in one of his letters (I Cor. 3:20 KJV) that they were still just sucking on milk when they should have been ready to chew on meat. What do you suppose he meant?

I was telling someone the other day that when we go to a gathering, and the table is laden with so much food that we just can not seem to figure out what we would like to eat as it all looks so great. The Sabbath is like that. It is a day that we can take the scriptures, and look over so much spiritual food. We listen to others talk and it is like a feast of information.

I love to go through the scriptures and pick out all the verses I can that tells me IF you do this or that, I WILL do this for you. Commandments and promises. I have C and P written by that verse. I have circles around whomever, they, he ( as in anyone) anyone, you, us, we that I can take as information that is for me today.

Through this I find out who I am in my Father and His Son and who they are in me.

I have met a new me! Each and every day is special, it is new and I am renewed day by day with my Father.

I can open up the scriptures and see all kinds of things I can use as a prayer for me for that day.

I find in Hebrews 6: that I am to be going on into perfection. Not laying again the foundations that my faith is based on. Going on into perfection for me is being all I can be with His Holy Spirit in me making me into the Fathers own image! Wow!

I find in Galatians 5: a guide line for me to look at and see if I am walking in the flesh or the likeness of my Father.

I have 1 Cor. 13: to show me how I will be acting toward others if my Fathers Spirit abides in me. I see what the fruits of His Spirit is if He is in me.

I have His Spirit bearing witness that I am His. My purpose is to be doing the work He created for me to do. To be becoming more like Him. To believe in His Son, and every thing I read about His Son. They speak and it is and anchor that goes into the most Holy of Holies for me to hang on to and no storm in this life can jerk that anchor loose!

Meat for me is abiding in His Word. Eating and drinking it in as life itself. Being able to take the warnings no matter how stern they are. To take the directions in life I am told to go even if it is to give my life up. To be able to walk in spiritual understanding that a baby can not have at first. They need milk only just as a baby can not eat until they have teeth. We all start out as babies then come into maturity and can have meat.

A meaty sermon for me is one that if not full of fluff! I personally love messages that have me sitting on the edge of the seat with excitement over what is being said. Yes. yes. that's me.. that's my Father... that is for me now! Glory glory praise you Father.. and thank you for all your wonderful love for us.. Thank you for touching each of us where we are in life and with what we need in life! For me prophecy is nice but it is not a meal I can live on! I am here, I am now. I want more and more of my Father in me.

I want to hear about Him and His Son how great they are and all I can be now in them.

Excuse me while I just be happy and praise Him.
